12 second year culinary students, under the guidance of Chef Instructor Chris Bugher, prepare their capstone dining events, presented to their parents, friends of the college, and a panel of industry judges.

For their Capstone projects, the second year Hospitality Management students, under the supervision of Instructor Walter Rapetski, present a business concept from scratch and take critique and grading from area industry partners. This is the presentation by Christy Greer for The Grierson Inn.

The students, under the guidance of Chef Chris Bugher, present an hors d'oeuvres service to staff and former students.

The first half of the second year Capstone students, under the supervision of Chef Chris Bugher, interrupt their preparations for their Thursday night dinner to prepare hors d'oeuvres for a reception on Wednesday. Chef Bugher says it teaches students to multitask and think ahead.

The students, supervised by Chef Instructor Vince Donatelli, present their Capstone projects to their guests and a panel of judges.

Silver Iocovozzi, A-B Tech Culinary graduate and chef/owner of James Beard Award finalist Neng Jr's in West Asheville, is a guest of Chef Cathy Horton's CUL 135 Food & Beverage Service class.

Program graduates Ariel Jones, Joshua Waters, and Jason Gray spoke to this year's graduating students about their experience with their Capstone projects, a semester-long assignment that culminates in one evening's dining presentation. Passing the capstone is required for all associates degree seeking Culinary students to graduate.

A-B Tech's Baking & Pastry Arts students prepared sweet treats for Taste of Asheville while the Culinary Arts and Hospitality & Restaurant Management students assisted local vendors with logistics.

The Baking and Culinary students, under the supervision of Chefs Bleacher and Hertz, show some western North Carolina high school students how to make crepes and potstickers while talking about the baking and culinary programs.

A-B Tech Baking & Pastry Arts Students Make Strudel
