Some tomatoes require more staking than others, namely those that are called "indeterminate." Search online for the name of the tomato variety you're growing. If it's an indeterminate type, then you'll want to tie the plant to the teepee as it grows. Old pantyhose make affordable and versatile ties. Good luck!

I did the teepee tomato trellis. Do I need to tie the limbs to the poles? This is my 1st time doing this. I'm also using the global bucket method. The tomato plant is planted into the 2 bucket growing system. The teepee is over the bucket but inserted into the ground, not the bucket. The limbs are growing out more than up, so I'm wondering if they need to be tied. Only small yellow buds. No tomatoes yet.

Great video, very clear message on using raised gardens. I have seen them in action and they do work great but requires a reasonable amount of work. I've created a slightly different garden where I grow from compost bags with drip tape set to a timer. This allows me to leave my garden without worrying about crop damage. Also I don't have to weed or feed or water just harvest. This type of approach is good for those who may not have space for a garden. If you get time check it out
