    Hi Thank you for posting this. If you get this message, please can I ask a question? I followed all the steps and it worked perfectly until right at the end. When I created the expense, and added the bill and the deposit, the Amount was 0, as you said it needed to be. But when I went to save it, QB wouldn't let me, saying there was an error and the amount could not be 0. If you have any idea why this would be I'd be very grateful to hear your thoughts. Thanks so much.

I have followed your tutorial exactly, and it makes sense but every time I go back to the suppliers account the status of credit note is still showing as unapplied, even though the bill I have applied it to is showing a lower balance as it has had the credit applied to it. Hi, unfortunatley my client - 2 in fact, can't open a gateway. The only options are passport, Self Assessment, credit info and NI driving licence. Passport - check, SA - check however they complete a short return and this does not map into the long format required by the gateway. Credit info, lady is 70+ and can't remember half the info. Driving Licence, yes but not an Northern Ireland one. So they rang HMRC CGT, not idea, passed around pillar to post and has been sent the form (the self assessment section) and told to just fill that in. I have had a couple of clients open an account over the phone but this seems to have faltered. Is there anyway around this at all?? And can HMRC get the people that sorted the CJRS scheme to sort this mess out and get it to work properly instead of the idiot that has currently got the job???

    Wondered if you had come across a solution to not actually show the VAT amount on the pdf / customer view invoice at all, which is not necessary as far as I am aware in all cases, it does expose one's profit margin to a knowledgable buyer? This video has been a massive help but I actually want to hide the VAT amount on the customer invoice but still encode it with VAT for quickbooks online MTD filing, and I'm beginning to think that I can only do that by having a non-vat invoice and compensate for the digital VAT filing by journaling the sales net and VAT declaration after each invoice. For clarity on the video, the line "includes VAT total" or "Total VAT" is what I want to remove, the footer VAT summary is easy enough to remove.

    Thanks so much for this. It's this convoluted nature of Quickbooks that people are now moving to Xero. Sage Line 50 is robust but rigid but so simple. My overall winner is still Sage Line 50 closely followed by Xero. I'd never recommedn QB to anybody in England or Europe.

    • @pjcoaccountants2090

      Hey Max, Dext can publish credit notes where as Receipt Snap can't. If you have employees who submit expense reports, Dext can also process these whilst Receipt Snap can't. In order to use Receipt Snap, employees will need to access customer and supplier data in QuickBooks, where as using Dext means that they won't need access to any information on QuickBooks. Hope this helps :)

    • @pjcoaccountants2090
      @pjcoaccountants2090 3 роки тому

      It’s allocated to the liability account because a journal is created which shows the tax expense and creates a liability for it, so the transaction just clears the liability. This would only apply if an accountant has done the journal though, so might be worth checking with the accounts team

    I would just like to say a very big thank you!! This video has saved me after several very long evenings of trying to figure out how to do this and now it’s such a breeze I can even do it from my phone! Please pass on my thanks and if I could buy Emily a coffee I certainly would! 🥳👌🏼👏🏼
