What clippers do you use?
Sorry haven’t posted in a long time, the new shop I work for hasn’t allowed me to film, however it’s tough because I do extremely well there. I’ve always used andis as my main clipper. I currently have 2 pairs of cordless andis masters, andis supras 2 with blade sizes 1.5, 2 & 3.5, and recently switched to Babyliss pro fx trimmers and Babyliss supershaver (both fantastic) i also occasionally use the wahl magic clips for tough to remove skin fade lines.
I do like skin fades . I fact today Iam get my fade . Really nobody needs hair

Nice haircut and excellent skin fade. If hair is left long enough on top to style, I prefer the straight back style. The symmetry is nice. This is a very fresh look for him.

Awesome fade (as usual), but I really cannot understand why a man who wants long hair doesn't just have long hair! LOL It's weird looking to have a half-shaved head with a bun. OK--my opinion. Apparently, not that of your client (and some others, of course). But you did an awesome job of giving him what he requested.

Great work by you. Think he'd look better with the top shorter or buzzed, but each to their own choice. Anything goes these days which is great.
Great haircut, beautifully cut and faded. I've been grey since my mid 30s and once had thick hair like this guy. Sadly now it's thinner on top, especially at the crown, so buzz it close on top (#1 or #1.5) with high skin faded back and sides.

Crown? Are you referencing the bottom half of his swirl? And no I don’t cut with scissors, I use shears. Nearly all of the haircuts are typically of the customers choosing. I guess we do cut differently. Through my eyes, keeping the bottom half of his swirl on a high fade would look like a Yarmulke.

Although I agree, as a barber I can’t just do what I want, I would lose business doing that. Typically these haircuts are what the customer asks for or by discovery. I’m uploading a new video today that covers that, it’s an undercut that we had to create as we went along as the customer did not know what he wanted when he came in other than the top being long! Taking the hair off the crown of the head showcases the drastic haircut profile.He is very nicely shorn., and it must feel excruciatingly-short..The hair on the top of the head needed to be buzzed down to stubble.

he keeps the top long and has a distinct way of styling. we usually trim the topm every other cut..
