We go through the process of harvesting Amaranth with no equipment. This fascinating pseudo grain was banned by the conquistadors as it was used in ancient pagan rituals and seen as a threat to the conversion to catholicism. Here we take it all the way down to an edible seed and go over it's fascinating history.

This homestead vlog is over our mid-summer activities. We take our first sheep to market and continue to work at keeping our sheep from escaping their fence. We make lots of pickles and 16 lbs. of relish from out garden.
