I agree, that sounds really fun. I didn't end up following through with my githyanki bard, because I didn't want to play him as friendly once I started. You've got a better idea!

@@krisissocoollike Friendly and helping them underdog is pretty much my default character for any rpg but since I’ve already done that with my main character I wanted to change it up 😊 My secondary character is both the dark urge *and* a cleric of Kelemvor because the contrast and counterintuitive part of that blend was too interesting to pass up lol. Also, Kelemvor is one of the few deities that wouldn’t actually care much about who and why you kill as long as you just don’t turn them to undead 🤷‍♀️ Honestly, too many options for interesting character builds in this game, I have so many it’s ridiculous at this point 🫣😅

@@willow8186 I think dark urge paladin would be very good. I kind of want to play the dark urge as a good guy and resist all the evil.

@@willow8186 I've only really gotten far with my stoic monk which is basically a monk and I try to keep the Buddhist precepts and keep him impassive. But it's not that easy to remain uinvolved. I started yesterday playing as Shadowheart and was thinking of keeping her a loyal hardcore Sharran for the whole game. I think that would be interesting. But you're right, there are soooo many possibilities. I also played a bit of a tiefling who's racist toward all other races other than tiefling but never got far with it be before screwing up the role play too much to want to continue. 🤭

Damn, I have no idea. I don't recall encountering these fish guys in act 1. I understand your dilemma. Maybe if you are all right with saving/reloading, save just before lifting the curse and then go see if they are friendly. If not, reload, go kill them, then lift the curse. That's all I can think of!

@@krisissocoollike I think I’m about to lift the curse. Definitely got a couple saves to go back to just in case. Will also let you know what I find! 👉😎👉

@@jayrobdapot sounds good! Where did you find the fish guys in act 1? I'm assuming in the underdark. I can't recall coming across them. Certainly not encouraging them form an army.

@@krisissocoollike was totally in the underdark. There was some obscure hole to jump into and they were worshiping some blood imp who was pretending to be their god.

@@krisissocoollike well I don’t want to spoil anything, but I’ve progressed to Act 3 and not sure when the curse is lifted. So I can’t say conclusively if these are the same fishy fish. 🤷‍♂️

@@krisissocoollike I think I’m going to use the no party size limit mod to offset some of the challenge. It’s still possible to get one shot on tactician especially on some parts of act 1

@@Linto2323 that's a really good idea. Maybe I'll try that with the mod to balance things out a bit. It would be fun to have the entire "army" at my disposal.

I recommend it! I have stopped playing this character, focusing on my human monk playthrough, but I'd like to return to this one/start it over. There are so many options. You're going to love the game I bet! Enjoy.

I feel like the doors to the other places should be visible with the scanner. If I could see "the well" and go to it, that'd be so much easier. Better to have a map tho. (Edit: typo)

Yeah, that's what was happening to me -- I needed to get to the well to sell things and I was wayyy encumbered. I couldn't find it for the life of me: no maps, not in the info kiosks, not on the NAT stops. And yeah like you said, I couldn't run for long periods. I have been frustrated to the point of sitting with my face in my hands so many times with this game so far... Lol

No, the narration is confusing. All flowers in this species are bisexual ( male and female parts). The first evening the flower opens it is in the female phase and receives beetles. If the beetles bring in pollen the female part is fertilized. "Trapped" in the closed flower the beetles chew on starchy food bodies (NO NECTAR) but also take the opportunity to have sex with other beetles (the floral motel). As the flower ages and prepares to reopen the female part shuts down and the stamens release pollen onto the beetles. The flower opens and the free beetle looks for a fresh, female phase flower. When a flower is bisexual and female parts mature before male parts botanists call it protogyny (female bits first). Alternating between female and male "phases" in the same flower lowers frequencies of self-pollination and increases chances of cross-pollination. Sorry to be so long-winded.
