Omg just wasted 10 seconds of my life

What could potentially cause this? We’ve had a crack appear and no one in the family has owned up to it. I know I haven’t caused it and I’m the one who cooks the most etc. it’s in an area near the sink so I can’t see how anything hot could have been put on it. There isn’t really the room. Can a stone worktop just do this without a cause? The place where we bought it are not prepared to do anything about it

I just cracked what looks like the exact same product. I had a sous vide sitting on it with no barrier and it got it too hot. A loud pop and there it was. An eight inch crack. Far less severe than that crack. Going to give repairing it a shot. Can’t believe I did that. So easily avoidable. Just didn’t think I needed the barrier. Lesson learned.

I find a lot of videos for an edge chip repair. I have a chip on the flat surface! A heavy glass Corning ware dish lid fell and chipped almost 1/2 inch scratch on our quartz countertop. I'm sick about it since we've only had this new kitchen 2 years. The counter top is a grayish white/light gray w/silver and gold, for warm and cool tones. I'm afraid that white will show up since it's a light gray where it chipped. Do you have videos to show something other than a corner chip?

There is a reason the are no reviews on google for this stuff because it's FAKE NEWS. Yes any clown can have a go at polishing these man made stone tops and get reasonable results, BUT it leaves a patch where you have worked. That is the reason these guys do NOT show you a top with plenty of light coming from behind.
