I have this exact dro but i have a small issue, the scales are only showing one decimal "0,1" is there a way to change this? since the dro in the video shows 3 decimals
Yes, you should be able to change that in Setup>Installation Setup>Display Configuration>Display Resolution. To get into Installation Setup, you will have to log in with the supervisor code 95148 hope that helps!

Can W scale be used for reading rotary encoder?
Yes, it can.
How is it installed on a drill mill? I have a jet drill/mill that I use for drilling bowling balls and would like to be accurate with a DRO.
For your mill we would need to know to the exact machine travel to recommend the correct linear encoders to pair with the DRO. Please give us a call or better yet shoot us an email sales@mtechsupply.net with some photos of your setup; a picture says 1000 words.
