Circuitdelic Laboratory is an experimental multimedia project focusing on music, art, science, the visualization of sound, and the lines between natural and unnatural. Art works include sculptures, videos, photography, projections, and resin. Music is released under Circuitdelic Sound System. Science exploration has focused on Cymatics, waveforms, and the conversation of light to audio lastly the use of DC motors in music performance is utilized along with circuit bending of various toys. Traditional instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboard, synthesizer, digital effects, and mixing board are used for live and post production. More information can be found at CircuitdelicLaboratory.com
Multi effects processor as instrument
The droning sound in the background is a Boss GT-10 Multi-effects processor. input and output are merged into one with a Y splitter. This is plugged straight into an a channel mixer. No adjustments. Did not touch it. Added Alesis SR-16 Drums. Whirling melodic sounds are from a Microbrute synthesizer.
The video is a laser light responding to vibration making wave forms. This was heavily effected producing it. But that’s a fun part of the process.

Ferromagnetic Alan Watts Quote
Переглядів 814 годин тому
This is a small clip audio from an Alan Watts seminar found on UA-cam. The audio was played from an iPhone 15 Pro into a mixing board. From the mains of the mixer, the sound is sent to a device used to control LED lights to music. Instead of LED lights, I send the signal to an Electromagnet. The electromagnet has a thin flexible horizontal magnet across the middle. This is what keeps the Ferrom...

Music by Circuitdelic Sound System. Primary sound is made by a laser projected onto a solar cell which is then converted to audio, then run through a synthesizer effect. Additional percussion and Microbrute synth are added. The visuals are from Circuitdelic Laboratory experiments with Ferromagnetic Fluid, Cymatics, and Tesla Coil as art forms. All music, sound, and visuals are from Circuitdelic...

Two lasers. One pointer at a Bluetooth speaker playing frequencies which transmit the wave to a solar cell which gets converted into electricity which gets converted into sound which is then sent through a synthesizer. Mad.

Criminally under-exposed channel 🫨 🌀Big love to you and your creations🌀
@@E4RLIES Thank you, brother. I’m glad you found it. Maybe others will too. Always love connecting with people. Cheers!
Like the vibe in this one❤ Did you do the music on this or just the visuals
@@E4RLIES Yes. I do all the music. I make some of my own instruments. The music I put under the name Circuitdelic Sound System. There are many “music videos” under that playlist. The “Portfolio” playlist is nice if you are interested in the evolution from 1986 to present.
this video is rage inducing. You keep stopping the video and it feels like there is lag. Almost refreshed the page.
@@iamlettuce8315 I would suggest if you feel rage looking at experimental art, you might find peace looking at more commercial and mainstream pieces. Thanks for looking, my friend.
Intrigued Fascinated Subbed!! 👽👾👏🏼
@@E4RLIES Welcome to the Laboratory! Feel free to walk around and check out the evolution. There are always things on the horizon. Ask any questions. I will share what I have learned. No art training. No music lessons except trumpet which stopped in 1984! Just very curious. Cheers!
yasssss
The whirling sound is a laser pointer light being converted to audio.
The music is from the Circuitdelic Sound System music project.
Hell yeah
❤ Hare Krišna 🍀🔥🎉🫀
Good atmosphere, the nature of the synthetizer is very good for awakening. Another excellent job
Thank you! It’s not a synthesizer. It’s a laser light converted to audio being diffused by an object spinning on a dc motor then sent to a synthesizer effect.

The visual effects are great. Solid work.
Appreciate the positive feedback. Have a wonderful day!
@@CircuitdelicLaboratory You too :]
incredibly cool
I really appreciate that. Feel free to check out the Live in the Lab and other Circuitdelic Sound System items in those playlists.
who is that guy at the end? I've heard him before sampled on other things. (over the edge/negativland -time zones exchange project)

How are you doing this? how are you generating the lasers? im dying to know
Hi. Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. Step1: I purchased a high quality laser pointer from amazon. Do a search for FOBSERD Long Range. Step 2: I then got a balloon large enough to stretch over a ring. I bought a plastic and rubber crochet ring from a hobby store (not the wooden ones!) and stretched a balloon over it. Step 3: I got a small mirror and glued it to the center the balloon. I also bought tiny mirrors from Amazon. 300 for $9. Step 4: I am musician so I have access to a small amplified with an 8" speaker. I placed the crochet ring against the speaker. Step 5: I pointed the laser at the mirror in such a way the reflection is displayed on the wall as you see. Step 6: I have a Microbrute Synthesizer and have been experimenting with the sounds to make those. The laser pointer can do two outputs at once and also has filters to multiple them so you can really go crazy with those and add more mirrors. Thanks!!! JP
The playing at the last minuet of the video was so good! I enjoyed listening to you play very much, would love an update on where you are now with your practice.
Thanks very much. Sadly this is really just a historical record now. I could not afford to transport the sitar back to the US at that time. I was a poor college student. I never picked it up again after leaving India. It was fun to learn.
