Clip from The Frank Ifield show, 1968, ITV including an advert break.
In memory of Frank Ifield who died in May 2024, here is a rare clip from an of-air home video recording from 1968.
It was recorded on a Sony reel to reel CV2000 home video machine. As it's a 405 line VHF recording, there wasn't an easy way to convert this to PAL 625, so this was camera converted from a 9 inch monitor.
What is especially lovely, is that this recording contains and advert break for Lyons Red Label Tea, Manikin cigars, and RSVP spirits!

I have been making model railways for over 40 years, starting with OO/HO scale, then N scale, before moving to Marklin Z scale around the year 2000. I have an extensive 7 metre long layout in my home, and this video shows you the sort of thing that can be created. Please subscribe to my channel to see further videos about my layout in more detail, and in due course I will be making videos showi...
Z gauge model railway... running three trains on an end to end line.
Переглядів 1,1 тис.3 роки тому
This shows a demonstration of running three trains on a single track line, using return loops at each end, and two passing loops. A Gaugemaster shuttle alternates the polarity at a given interval and the LED signals react accordingly. The track sections are wired with diodes and the points are all sprung so they can be crossed in the opposing direction.

Pop Up Covid 19 Cycle Lane in Worthing - A24. Dashcam footage.
Переглядів 8394 роки тому
In August 2020 a temporary Pop Up Cycle Lane was introduced on the main A24 in Worthing. This is some dashcam footage showing the resulting congestion. Since this video was taken, a further stretch of cycle lane has been installed. The journey was between 5pm and 5.30pm on a weekday - peak commuter time. Since the lane was introduced, journey times have quadrupled. Congestion and Pollution have...

RIP Liam Brigginshaw, passed away 2007.
Didn’t realise he did all three voices.
@antonybullock2240 yes, he was very talented.
As a 60 year old fan, I loved stumbling across this video and listening to this talented man 🙂👍🏽. I wish I could change the shutdown chord on my computer to Orac saying… “I am closing down. I have much to do. You have engaged my circuits on your petty affairs for far too long!”
@londonlore5881 yes, wouldn't that be great!
This was a well made piece
Fun fact I was living in Walberton at the time and slept through the whole storm. It wasn’t until the cat woke me up because the electric was off and I’d got dressed and walked out the front door that I noticed my little Yamaha DT 125 was lying on its side that I saw the utter chaos all around. Actually managed to ride all the way to Lancing to work at a warehouse, when I got there the roof had been blown off
I did the same thing woke up in the morning looking out of the window all the trees were flat to the ground. I lived in Ashurst West Sussex back in the day. And worked on a farm we then spent all that winter repairing buildings clearing trees etc.
He had a fine voice and outstanding control over it. I don't love his style but he's quite talented. DA
Special Constable Andy's wife is obviously a mighty intelligent woman - why anybody would sacrifice their spare time voluntarily going out policing the mean streets😁 of 90s Brighton (those were the days...sigh...❤️💛💚) without any type of pay??! Completely beyond me🙃🤯 (and SC Andy's wife)! I mean what the blimmin' ef is going on with that? All risk for [insert here] reward. I'm sure SC Andy, pays his taxes like people should. If I were Andy I'd tell East Sussex Police to quickly jog on if they tried the budget constraints excuse with me. Paying my taxes like a good citizen AND "being selected"😉 to risk my health every time I go out and do the police job FOR FREE!! If we skip attempting to analyse the motivations of the SC Andys of this world for a minute; how's that even a thing? In all honesty I reckon the vast majority of the SCs for one reason or another are police school rejects. So, what do we do with them? We'll just give them a badge and substantial police powers anyway and let them loose on unsuspecting clubbers and "ravers'😁. I don't live in Brighton or anywhere else the UK anymore and haven't been for years and years so I don't know if Special Constables is still a thing0å. Probably is though since budget constraints is the official excuse for this bizarre concept. SC Andy needs a little chat with Sergeant I don't live for policing, policing provides me with a means of living and that's IT. Sarge seems to be, intelligence wise, on par with SC Andy's wife. Alright, rant's officially over.
Need this in full
Oh! far out man! As a long-time Blakes 7 fan, this is truly mind-blowing!
@@delavalmilker isn't he fabulous!
Stephen, I may I say I worry about you and a lot of us who do model trains. Some of us have died. It is a community. can we reconnect?
wow i had heard of opteration bumble bee as i am a huge fan of the bill and remember sunhill having its own dedicated burglary team headed by ds alistair greig but assumed it was a ficticious opperation due to it being a tv drama series never knew it was actually a real life operation. thats so awesome
Very very cool
He used the Q word 🤦♂️
SGT Pete coll ended up as chief of police in St Helena
My god that’s awesome, would love to see more of the whole layout
Thank you. There are other videos of it on my channel, also check out my railway Instagram account @smwmodelrailway
That’s really impressive mate great work 👌
amazing
Next would be Monster raving loony party the next 100 days
This has a strong sense of Saturday evening telly with family and relations darting in and out to and from the living room and kitchen. Weekends felt exciting then, even as a seven year old.
OMG!! Those ads!! Cringey! 😅😅😅 But my Mum loved Frank ... Happy memories. ❤ Great voice!! Loved how important it was in "Mars Attacks" too!! 😂😂😂
They're certainly of their time, aren't they!
Third one on drugs 🥴🤣
Brilliant, i was 14 then and slept through it, my parent's we're on holiday, my elder brother woke me and come look outside, we lived in Warren rd, there was no school bus for a while lol
Excellent.
Can you download to use ?
It would be nice.
New subscriber- great stuff matey
George Galloway being robbed-- pity it wasn’t really him 🤡
Pure nostalgia… the production, the footage… even though Brighton wasn’t great in the early 90’s, I’d take it over the crap-hole it’s become nowadays! Green Party, extortionate business rates, rents, parking restrictions, i360 (debt to b&h council) are all to blame!
What an amazing layout - awesome 😁👍🇦🇺
Una Stubbs has such a lovely soft voice, reminds me of my ex strangely, she was a lovely person too
Great trains you got running there! Not gonna lie, a little jealous of that Ra engine we got a glimpse of there. Could easily watch an entire video of just that one.
That's the best
Pure brilliance! <3
This is such a special video, thank you for sharing this with Earth. I think his Zen voice is my favorite. 🤖
Excellent! I wish I had that series of messages!!

Imagine my joy in stumbling across this video. I was an avid Blakes 7 watcher back in the day. We all used to talk about it at school the next day. I am now 57 and this just brings me nostalgic joy. Thanks to the late peter for bringing these sci-fi machines to life. I am seriously thinking of using ZEN on my answer phone
Truly awsome
Who would you have as an answer phone? Orac, Zen or Slave?
ZEN all the time
It just occurred to me that Zen and ORAC getting into an argument would be funny.
I'd love to have Zen as my answerphone.
Imagine having Orac, Zen or Slave as an answer phone
Even as an answerphone message, Zen is still the most impressive computer in sci fi.
I'd love to do something like this! I've recorded my own message/answering tapes in the past as various SF characters, but never got around to trying it professionally. Life and stuff kept getting in the way of a pro career at doing anything of this nature. What you might call a 'duty of care'!
Inspiring. I like the vertical nature of the setup. Good way to maximize track and scenery. Still in the planning for mine - i have significantly less room, but surplus ambition for the space that i do have for Z-scale, so this is a good way to make for an interesting table, relative to the laws of Physics and scaling, anyway in making a layer cake of a train table.. Bravo!
