Back when I was a teenager I had a little dog, wired haired trrior and chuaua mix, that thought he was the toughest thing. I was deer hunting and in the middle of the night while camping in a draw he started walking around the pup tent growling. All of a sudden coyotes started howling all around the draw and he ran into my sleeping bag and never made another sound the rest of the night. He was a great dog. I named him bear dog because he was barely a dog.

That is the only segment ive hiked Durango to Silverton. Many many moons ago. Must have been 15 years old when I did it . One memory ill never forget. I think the blue tint in that rock is were alot of tourqouise is found or was at one point. Congratulations I knew you guys had the will and determination to complete rhat monsterous Colorado trail!
