The journey started from Dowarian. Ratti Gali base camp is 16 km from Dowarian, a drive of 2.5 hours, followed by a 2 km hike that takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Due to low oxygen levels, take small steps and consume raw onions or sweets. You can stay at the base camp with nominal charges. Ratti Gali sits at approximately 12,000 feet above sea level. Only 4 x 4 Vehilce can go to the base camp from Dowarian.
In my opinion, the best time to visit is August when Ratti Gali is in full bloom, and the entire valley is covered with flowers.
