i have it also.. all they wanna do is give you pills, i spent well over 15k in cash with insurance and they even took out my gall bladder for no reason. im still feeling like crap every day, gluten is everywhere then also rice milk corn yeast and a few other things can trigger a gluten type response, no one knows what its like to live like this. pure hell

My whole life I’ve had really bad olsars in my mouth, TMJ, sickness, and tiredness. When my acne got extremely extremely bad, I felt hopeless and out of control of my body I became increasingly depressed and my anxiety flew through the roof. To fix it I believed I should do a vegetarian diet and eat a lot of carbs. This obviously heightened my problem and had me suicidal, being diagnosed with celiac is a blessing (on awareness day too lol) hoping to see what it does to my skin down the road!

You speak well to the disease & it's realities for the person diagnosed with celiacs as far as how you have to take care of yourself within the strict dietary measures you have to take Everyday in order to stay feeling well. Nobody really has to understand this or will unless they too were diagnosed with Celiacs. They just need to listen to you with compassion & try to learn what they can about celiacs if they want to stay in your life.

Everything you said is so true. Ive honestly accepted CD and have no issues dealing with it. It's funny how I've been able to accept it, but the people around me (who don't have celiac) have trouble "accepting it". Like bruhhh? you're not the one dealing with it. And I've realsied that CD isn't the hard part, it's the snide comments from people that are.

I have DH, and Celiac. I stopped eating gluten, but getting tested after dropping it was a mistake. My Dr wants me to eat the equivelent of 2 slices of bread everyday for 6 weeks, before performing the test. But he does not realize how impossible a task that is for me at this time. If you are in the same boat as me, try genetic testing. CRIgenetics, offers a health screen DNA test. It is around 160.00. I would rather spend that and simply swab my cheek, rather than even consider a 6 week gluten inclusive diet. Any gluten in my body is a minimum of 3-5 days of writhing in bed in agony. Like someone pulled a cheese grater through my intestines.

Wow! You have a lovely look. I'm pretty sure I have Celiac disease or just a big intolerance to gluten and with how bloated I am (and other stuff ~ahem~) can no longer ignore it. I continue to search for people talking about Celiac. How hard it is to accept this. How we have it and the mental struggles for life. Food is everywhere. Commercials kill me it's never gluten free items advertised. Parties are hard. Hanging out at other peoples houses are hard. Going to the grocery store is so hard.
