New Monster Nitto's For The 300C
Переглядів 2844 роки тому
I purchased this car new in 06’, my only new car ever. I loved everything about it less the “Tiny” rubber. In 09’ I purchased some refurbished wheels for an experiment and had them widened 1” at Weldcraft Wheels in MI. Not a lot of choices for the combo of 295’s and 245’s, but the Goodyear RSA’s were one thanks to the Chevy SSR. And the RSA’s were the only option my car didn’t come with (it cam...

Only took 10 years for the garage, and about a year for the damn garage video! Thanks for the kind words Quinton, and I hope I didn't piss you off! :-)

Rustoleum Rock Solid Garage Floor Project
My Dads buddy has a 1964 Bertram 25 with 2 327 Chevys 375hp each running out i would sit in fighting chair on engine box and love the sound Once in a while he would open it up and chine walk blowing past the outboard guys
7:40 PARADISE
A million smiles to the gallon.
Amazing ❤
Looks to be a full height basement. How do you reach the underside of the car?
however these propellers are non surface propellers, they do not raise enough water column, they create little scenography, they should raise more.
max speed?
I was in my late 20's when these came out, and I still remember the dreams I had and research I did on different combinations of boats and hulls. In those days, 21 feet for a lake boat was the norm (with a 175-200-225 Black Max Mercury), but the thought of a Johnson or Evinrude V8 2-stroke blowing down the cove at 70+ mph was really grist for the imagination. Ultimately, the numbers showed the motor was just too heavy for that class of boat, and my father's pals who had the big Mercurys were already learning new and dangerous lessons; one of which was the danger of coming off the throttle at full speed when the trim was dialed in. At speeds approaching 70 or better, coming off the throttle resulted in the wind resistance that had built up under the boat no longer having the opposing force of the propeller pushing the boat down on the water; for several seconds the boat seemed to go airborne, and the slightest weight imbalance either made the boat tilt left or right, or (god forbid) the centerline would go off from the direction of travel and risk throwing the passengers out of the boat when it contacted the water again. Maybe there was a reason for horsepower limits on hulls!
Mesmerizing!
Gotta love them old johhnyrudes
Beautiful engines. Grew up with a few sea horses. Had a tin boat in the sixties as a little kid with an early fifties 5hp Johnson. Dad had a '63 40hp on a 13' Leavens that skipped along nicely. Went through the seventies with a '68 55hp 3 cylinder on a Grew. Started the eighties with a 70hp 3 cylinder on a Sunray. All great motors.
👏🏾👏🏾
There's NOTHING like the scream of 2 stroke outboards at hi rpm.
Ah....Lake Washington in Seattle. I think I saw your boat once when I was out on the lake. I lived in Seward Park - had my Formula near Andrews Bay and saw a boat with twin V8s.....sweet.
This is amazing friend! love it!
Whats all done to it
I rember having tun on that boat
I've watched this video twice in one day. Best outboard video ever!! No stupid music!
Good pass what’s the record

As soon as the video started, I knew exactly where this was as it is literally right down the street from my house! Too cool!! Thanks for this video.
that boat is a beast
trim those johnson’s out man things are aiming straight down lift that boat and go stop being scared
Amazing!!! what I would give to have just one of those beasts
Its a big motor in person! We bought our boat that was being sold with a Evinrude 300hp v8 version of it and it was massive even on a bigger boat like that lol. We ended up not buying the motor, just the boat. 25ft CC. It now has a 2-stroke 200hp Suzuki EFI Outboard and it goes just fine. No delay in acceleration, the motor itself has some great torque and runs great with the EFI. It would definitely be an awesome motor for a more fitting boat though. It sounded amazing too. It was apparently just rebuilt by some guy who worked on those 300's and he said he did some light work to it. Idk the details about the motor or mods, if any, though..
Brings back memories!! Learned to ride in that same model
how much is that engine.
Cannot buy them new now so second hand you will either need to fluke one that has been passed down or sold and the current owner cannot get it going or even realise the real value you might fluke it for say under £2k here in UK. On the other hand if you really want one you know will work right that has been serviced and sold by a good dealer and has recorded history and freshwater only use.. £5k
Turned out awesome!
Clever I like it. Using this fix tomorrow. Thanks!!
Loved the guy music
Nice
Went 10.97 on radials bull shit converter slipping ... coulda shoulda ran better foot break
TOTALLY KILLER‼️👍👍
100% AWESOME‼️Nothing like a pair of two stroke V8s for some serious torque!!!
get rid of that stupid mut
Runnin strong man... nice!
Love that you’re letting us hear the glorious sound of these Johnson’s and not some music props to you
My Johnson's only 9.5. Snagged alotta fish. 👉🤭
Same dude I got an old 1978 johnnyrude with my wee Mayland 14 fishing boat it was badged as an Evinrude 9.9. I put a 15 carb in it and it was the reeded version so all I needed was some shims and it was the exact spec as sold 15hp model. It goes like a champ on UK Vpower with a slightly lean 2 stroke mix it takes the wee boat to 22mph which is all I need And it comes out the hole fast man no joke if I need to get out the way fast I'm litteraly one pull on the cord, full stick forward then I'm out of dodge within 3 secs. I'm in Scotland mostly loch lomond and Awe
Top speed? Hp?
Man, I love the sound of my single V8 but that’s crazy. I could sit between those for quite a while!! Looks good sounds GREAT!!
Two Johnson V8 going wide open, like music to the ears
How did you through bolt the base cabinets? Do they hold a fair amount of weight? I’m looking to do this also.

Mike you are so clever and Nina is adorable
Well Thank You! I don't reply much because the old man doesn't like social media, and I normally don't see the notifications because I watch UA-cam on TV, and usually never see them. I think I figured out that I probably get a notification from Google, but I have never looked at even one email from them, as one email account is more than enough for me!
I was just happy to see the old Powerboat Magazine Fountain ... Bob Teague, Bob Norgskog and who was their navigator ??
Wwwwwwwaaaaaoooooo I have the ocean Pro 225 is super nice 👍
Dog should have a harness attached to seatbelt. I hope she's light enough not to activate airbag.
looks great! can you give a quick update on how well the cabinets are holding up after two years? asking because i am looking at gladiator for my garage as well. thanks!
Gladiator gear is a superb product. I did something similar just not this grand of scale and using their gear walls and they are still holding up fine after about 2 years with mine. I have 3 cabinets, 2 shelves, 1 gear locker, 6ft workbench, plus a gear wall as mentioned. Perfect stuff to transform and organize your garage
@@pjcustoms8508 thanks for the insight!
biggest v8 2 stroke outboards??
SO FAR....!
