10:48 - Perhaps consider steel toed boots to protect those toes?? I once smashed a thumb between a couple of iron plates (long, long ago). And another time I pulled a snatch pull a bit too high and hit the bar under my chin. Messed up a couple of front teeth a bit. You just have to be careful.
Looks like a lot of fun and COLD! Me, I never was able to even snowplow. Sad!
Another way to put it is "Forget your mistakes, but remember what they taught you." - Benjamin Franklin.
I think that if you found the platform slippery you could tell the judges and they could at least sweep it off without you having any time penalty. Also, these things happen, you have to shrug them off and continue. Once, long, long, long ago, I was lifting in the 82.5 Kg class. I had two successful presses at 93 Kg and 97.5. Then a successful snatch at 93 Kg and two misses at 97.5. That was in the days of iron plates. The head judge thought I "helped" that last snatch to the floor (we were lifting on the second floor of an elks lodge). They ejected me from the competition. I was bummed and never forgot that AND I never let that happen again. You have to accept it for what it was and move on to the next competition.
This was a sad ending - i think the excess chalk on the platform didn't help

Long time no see. Glad to see you are still hard at it. That second 70 Kg snatch was so close. Definitely strong enough. You should have had that 86 Kg C&J, you just needed to drop a bit lower into the split. Those two lifts would have totaled 156 Kg. You are right there!

Yes, definitely not ideal having to cut weight on the day. I’ve had som good comps regardless of having to do that but this day was probably affected by it much more :/

4:10 - McDonalds Double Cheese Burger. One of my faves too. Sadly, I think you left your best lifts in the gym for this competition.
Geez, girl, why are You eat those shit in before competition??
I think you mentally talked yourself out of several of those missed jerks and snatches. Especially the jerks where you stood so long after the clean. You have to be able to picture yourself making the lifts. You have to forget about how hard the clean was once it is finished and just concentrate on making the jerk. Are you really only back squatting 3 at 100 Kg? Back in the day I was back squatting for 3 at 1.35 times my best C&J. I was also front squatting for 3 at 1.167 times my best C&J. So for a best C&J of 85 Kg, that would be a triple in the back squat of 115 Kg and a triple front squat of 100 Kg. And for a 91 Kg best Clean & Jerk that would be a triple in the back squat of 123 Kg and a triple in the front squat of 106 Kg. More leg strength is your friend.
Yes, jerks are more of a mental issue for me. Also, yes I’m not as strong that means I am very technically efficient in my lifts considering I can still stand them up with little leg strength. I am always trying to get my legs stronger.
@@caramelweekstv Good point. However, if you can stand up with it, you need to be able to jerk it no matter how hard the clean was. Otherwise that clean was wasted. Do you have access to jerk blocks? I never did, I think jerking heavy from the blocks would be a benefit to you. Definitely a confidence builder.

push back on your front leg and don't take too big a split I don't think too much of your trainer or coach I have done this years ago and was lucky to have a really good coach and never looked back get the basics right and put the work in four days on the trot then a break
