I hate deluxe mode and deliberately avoid taking Deluxe cards. They cost more per mistake and of course are harder, making it more likely to make mistakes, draining gems that much faster. The whole thing is a riduculous money farm and I already have spent too much on seasons that seem to go way too quickly. Once I got to where I realized how much I was spending I backed off the game. I would have liked to have options to buy individual season songs rather than having to play the whole season to get one song I really wanted. I also hate the purchase process of actually buying a song but it being a random draw from the genre pool.
