pretty good for your first time, keep some consistency and you'll be improving quick.
one thing is you dont NEED to stand up 24/7 you can sit on corners and burms, you actually want to sit on them but standing entering then siting while leaving because when your giving gas on exit you stay up sitting the whole time will make your rear lose traction, your standing position is perfect best ive seen from someones first time at the track you didint cower back or over because your mind was on the track only, keep your head over the bars more tho and have your heels kinda hanging off the pegs, you want to be able to read your front plate when standing also last thing is keep your legs straight i see that when you case the jump your butt always hits the seat, keep those legs strong but not stiff when you land extend them to cope with the hit if you case, but your arms and legs are what controlls the bike in the air, i see a lot of people freeze in the air. you do not wanna freeze keep the legs strong and adjust with the landing, this will ALL take time to learn but I have a feeling you will do great. ( sorry for the long message lol ) ALSO you can use your feet to keep your self up, put your foot out in a corner it helps with your turning but push down on the opposet peg from the leg you put out
Thank you for the tips, I rode the bike round the back yard I few times practicing body position but moving to the track was a handful, since I mainly mountain bike I think standing was where I felt the most comfortable going around, I tried sitting in some corners and it felt like I was getting bounced around which felt quite uncomfortable to me. I knew moto was fatiguing but I didn't expect it to be really fatigued at the pace I was going. I went 2 laps, 3 laps and 2 laps and was pretty hammered by the end of it. A lot more seat time needed to get the endurance and technique but I really enjoyed my time on the saddle. I'll keep these tips in mind and try to focus one each moto
@@Aloewerk no problem man we all started somewhere even some of the best started like you, sitting on bumps is probobly why stand on and whoops or bumps, jumps, or anything that will bump/ lift you even an inch off the ground, you will duck forward or your body will fly up away from the bike

As an extremely average MX rider myself, I was not looking forward to this video considering how hard you send it on your MTB. Hope to see more MX content, no doubt you'll progress pretty quickly... TECT Park is a nice track as well that is close to Rotorua. They groom it weekly over summer.

I'm using the x3 and yup most of those trails were the hidden ones, I'd say hiding in plain sight the entrances are really apparent now
