i don't think i've ever seen a hockey net before that didn't have the middle post in the back to brace the netting...... looks so odd but i kinda like it lol
@@charlielindgrensmustache you’re right. I thought it was a bit odd too. But the frame is pretty solid. These are ice hockey nets after all.
lmao why is 88 in the net trying to play goalie? take a man!
I can see why some guys are wearing full face helmets it looks like a high energy game. This looks really fun.
No way you aren't sweltering being in (what I assume is) full goalie gear
@@zabrid9143 yes, in full goalie gear. Although it’s pretty warm, the facility is air-conditioned. Still hot but tolerable.
nice, seems like fun. enjoy your time with the lads.
0.55 shoot!!!!
He had all the time in the world, lol.
Is this located at the Dufferin Clark community centre in Von?
Yes it is.
More great games.... Our league is on holiday UNTIL SEPTEMBER. Have a good summer boyz
Nice. Enjoy your summer!
Intense fight for that 2nd match, game winner. GG.
Yes. You are absolutely right. It was intense indeed. It was 4-4 for a solid 20mins (real time) before the white team won it.
Great game and good video footage! fun to watch..
you suck
Was that cement surface?
Yes, cement. I guess the bare surface the winter ice would sit on.
Cool!… wow that’s a lot of ground to cover
guy with the bandana looks like he smokes darts and pours concrete for $17 an hour lol
man ball hockey is so cringey lmaooooo
it is, but its fun and a great workout lol
where can i play this
Is it getting hot in your gym also? ...Ours is kinda 'unbearable' for goalies
It’s not so bad right now. And although they will turn the air conditioning on soon, it does still get a bit warm during the game. But still bearable.
Tough breaks for both goalies this week.... its ok... i guess we have to give the players one day to look good ;) Eventhough Vancouver is doing well, we have a history of blowing it. Too bad Toronto isn't still in it, tough break to go against Boston in any year. We had the night off :(
The Canucks are looking good. But wouldn’t count the Oilers out just yet. Although they look a bit tired. Just as a hockey fan, I’m hoping to see a game seven. And another tough one for the Leafs. I loved their series comeback though. And we all know game seven overtime, anything can happen. Every year, we either have to get through Boston, Tampa Bay, or Florida. So no easy pass in round one. But all in all, some great playoff hockey this year.
Tough night for team white. You guys throw sticks for teams?
It certainly was a tough night for the white team. And no sticks, we usually have two captains drafting.
Are you guys looking for more players? Grew up playing hockey and would love to join!
Appreciate the offer. But we already have a full slate of players in the group. Most of them playing together 20+ years or more.
I’m on holidays in Punta Cana so I cannot contribute to my own teams goaltending but good to see our brother’n in Toronto still going strong 💪🏻
Ah nice. Enjoy your holidays buddy. You will be all refreshed and ready to tend the pipes when you’re back.
some GREAT Glove had saves this game from both goalies! One of the best games I have watched of you guys. Way to go
Us goalies know what its like to be tired... We don't get to 'sub'. lol. Nice slow-mo brother :) We FINALLY got some new nets. (yahhhh) I love doing the Butterfly but at 55+ ... its a LOT more tiring to get up and down.
You’re so right. Many players don’t realize how tired we get because we can’t pick and choose when we rest, lol. Glad to hear about your new nets. I’ll be 58 soon. My knees and hips do take a lot of pounding from butterfly’s but so far holding up OK. But do know one day they won’t, lol.
Is this a League? Or you play for fun.We do the same thing at Blake Recreation center
No, not a league. Just weekly pickup for fun and cardio but we have a permit for this time-slot.
We do the same thing at Birchmount Recreation center. It's a activity there, they charge 4.50 for 2 hours. And we rent at Blake Recreation center for 2 hours as well. Most of us are at least 50 plus.
@@gvks135 that’s awesome. Good to see other rec centers have this option. More places to play is a good thing.
👀 "promo sm"
There's probably no room to move the net back further but as a goalie myself I hate playing without a goal line. Good games man. Red goalie being a little less skilled was not helped by his lack of defense but glad he pulled a couple Ws.
Ooooo some nice saves tonight goalies.....too many high-light reels... :)
Wow.. you guys got tournaments also? cool
lol. Yup. But this is a different league. We had a great regular season (7-3) but things fell apart in this one and done playoff game. Oh well. We’ll regroup again for the Fall season.
This looks super hard for the goalies
I’m asking because I’m genuinely curious and I’m not trying to insult the sport. Why do people who play this not just learn to skate and play inline hockey?
Lots of people who play ball hockey also play ice hockey. I am one of them. Playing ice is definitely more expensive. And with Ball I can play all year round. And many facilities have available permits or dedicated timeslots a few times a week. Personally, I have not gotten into inline because I don’t see it being played anywhere around me. Really, it all comes down to accessibility. A lot of the guys I play with will say the same thing. Many people who see people playing Ball Hockey always make the assumption that they don’t know how to skate. And that ice hockey is the only valid form of the game. Ball Hockey is a different game. And in some ways harder than ice.
...you must have forgotten... we live in Trudeau's Canada... sht is TOO EXPENSIVE now... lol ..but he can't take our Floor hockey ;) besides.... I think the people who rent out the gyms/schools... they dont want to ruin their floors... No inline. no rollerblade etc.
Why is the one guy wearing a fishbowl in indoor ball hockey😂
Sticks can get up and I have seen some guys get clipped in the face. Nothing wrong with protecting your eyes.
another great night goalies. You guys have a big gym! you have four on each side and spares. nice. and HEY YOU GUYS.. DON'T ATTACK OUR GOPRO'S. lol
Haha. The GoPro’s will take the odd hit now and then, but they hold up well.
This seems like fun 😅
nice games guys. We are playing in one hour :)
Good luck tonight.
Gg to who won
Gg whoever won
The amount of sticks you guys have coming up high, people not wearing a helmet is crazy. Not sure how I stumbled into these videos but in just this one alone multiple guys lucky they didn’t get clipped in the face.
Good games goalies 👍
You guys shake each others hands at the end of the game? What a bunch of freaks! (Totally kidding) we don’t like each other like you guys do! Lol
Haha. We more or less tolerate each other because we know we’ll see them again next week, lol.
Orange ball and no helmet/safety glasses is wild.
Some atrocious defense on display
Hey guys... can you tell me how or where you connected your camera? Is it attached to basketball hoop or wall?
Each GoPro camera is protected in a metal case. And the case sits on top of the blue padded mat mounted to the wall behind the nets. The mats are about 4” thick.
Ok. Thanks brother… I just have to find that ‘attachment’ on their website I guess? I’ve got mine attached to my helmet which is cool also but doesn’t catch all the action lol. Thanks 🙏
@@iamtheboxer Anytime buddy. The mounts I am using are just a standard ones that typically comes with camera purchase. Nothing fancy there. I’m sure you can find them used on marketplace or Kijiji. The metal protective case is just something homemade. Electrical box with some sponge padding. I have been wanting to experiment with attaching a GoPro Session camera to my helmet. It’s the smallest and lightest camera I have. But I don’t want to put a permanent mount on my mask, lol. I’ll figure a way to make something temporary later on.
5 on 5 with the goalie---and refs---3---15 min periods.Imagine playing a full size arena----i did and it was awesome and the hardest workout you will ever face.im old now.......
I’m old too, lol. And we still play 5 on 5 full rink over the summer. No refs but 1.5 hours of straight hockey. It is tough but a great cardio workout.
this is called floor hockey with regular hockey sticks i used to play a full reg arena with hockey sticks in the eighties-------no comparison at all.

This is like field hockey, I’m a field hockey goalie, some amazing saves, just unlucky on the ones you let in but keep up the good work 👍
Who am I supposed to be rooting for?
Love these videos! Makes me miss playing
Hopefully you can get back into it soon.
Greetings from Maple Ridge Canada! Your gym is REALLY well lit up! As a goalie in my league, I am jealous
Greetings sir! Yeah, the gym is well lit but a little highlight adjustment in editing makes it seem even brighter.
Not bad for a bunch of young guys ;)
Hey Bruv, I just started doing the same by making videos of our game :) I got a couple of questions… First, are you using a GoPro? And where are you attaching the camera? I am assuming you have both cameras running at the same time and then just edit after?… I know how long it takes me to word one view point, I can only assume it would take twice as last g to review TWO cameras? Lol
Hey buddy. I am using two older GoPro 4’s to record the games. I experimented with protection, since the odd time they will take a direct shot given the camera location. I have them in a padded metal case so pretty well protected. The cases sit on top of the 4 inch ledge on the padded wall behind the nets. The pad is sturdy enough, and the cameras don’t really move during gameplay. And yes, both cameras run at the same time, and then I sync them up and edit the footage in Adobe Premiere. I initially started off with one camera, just getting of feel of things and not quite sure what I was doing. My biggest fear was having a camera easily destroyed, lol. I experimented with different types of padded protection. But once I got that sorted, adding a second camera seemed like a given. It truly does not take much longer to edit the game from two cameras. Because technically, I’m just watching, scrubbing and editing footage from both cameras simultaneously. So A and B roll. The action will always be in one or the other. Much easier to do it this way than one camera at a time.
