Can I still use different sizes of yarn and crochet hook? Because I am using a 2.5mm hook and a 4.5 yarn size.

Not a beginner and also got lost at row 8. I just stuck a dc at the end of every 5 (FPdc, sc). Also, it appears you are slip stitching and chaining 1 at the end of every row which should be included in the row instructions. Row 11 is slip stitch, chain 1 repeat. If you don't chain 1 it gives a straight across look rather than a more wavy look.

Also a good tip is to learn how to understand patterns because if you want to make a very cool plushy or any other project, some of the videos don’t talk, and they give you the pattern instead. In this video, it gives you the pattern on the bottom and explains it. The times 3 or any number means how many times you repeat the pattern. I really suggest that you learn the patterns.

Just telling yall who think she is going to fast and that she is not helpful, now here is the reason, and you guys are actually getting this confused. Beginner doesn’t necessarily mean that it is for total beginner, like the ones who don’t know magic ring, single crochet, or increase. If you have just started on your crocheting journey, try looking for videos that first introduce you to the different kind of stitches. Then, once you know the stitches you can work on future projects.
