First use ANSI extended in your OS keyboard settings. Then to type the n with tilde, hold alt and press n, then release alt and press n again. alt + n, release alt, press n again.

Thanks for the video. Everybody has a laptop now so this is getting more difficult. What I've been doing is just select the US Internationa keyboard in my windows. You click the keyboard icon in the task manager (or window-spacebar). Then you when you type tilda and then the letter n, it comes out as ñ. Also if you type single quote then a vowel it comes out with an accent. Or instance áéíóú. With this method, a person can type fast like normal typing so it seems more practical.

I think with certain verbs you do not use “a”. One is “tener”. I think “necesitar” may also be one but I am not sure. I can’t think of any examples right now but I remember reading something about that a very long time ago.

This only works on certain keyboards or laptops. I've got 3 different high-end 2023 laptops for work that all have number keypads, & this doesn't work on any of them.

Doesn't work, and I have numbers on top of keyboard and also a number keypad. Doesn't work on either.
