what about 春天 ? 冬天? there are new characters here. I didn't know
The meaning of “季” is “season.” 春季 (chūnjì) is equivalent to 春天 (chūntiān), meaning "spring." 冬季 (dōngjì) is equivalent to 冬天 (dōngtiān), meaning "winter." They can be used interchangeably. For example: 春季的花很美。can be said as "春天的花很美。" (The flowers in spring are beautiful) . "冬季很冷。" can be said as "冬天很冷。(Winter is cold)
