Studio Vlog and Update Artist Updates - Catching Up on Life and Doodling
It’s been a long time and I shouldn’t have left you…without a dope beat to step to…
First of all, thank you so much to the subscribers I have. I never thought I’d get more than 20! Once people started showing an interest in my videos, I thought I could get up to 1000 by the end of the year, buuuuut….I had such a big gap in posting for many reasons. That’s where today’s video comes in!
Today I’m talking about personal setbacks in making Art, figuring out motivation and finding inspiration as well as handling doubts about whether or not I was meant to continue with Art. There’s a wide variety of things to talk about so buckle in and enjoy what I can lovingly call a podcast where I just think out loud.
If you’re in the mood to just have a conversational moment where I update you on my Art making while doing a little doodling then please stick around! This video took a lot of convincing to make. I didn’t think I had much to offer since I had such a big break in posting. BUT I decided it was good to get back into the swing of things and maybe my creative brain would spark again and I’d be able to carry through the rest of the year with just a tad bit of joy.
Do you have Art slumps? How do you work your way through them? Let me know down below!
Be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE and I hope to see you back for the next one!
As always, THANK YOU for being here!

Creating Art for Your Mental Health (Watercolor and Doodling Lesson)
Переглядів 280Рік тому
It took a lot for me to get this video made…but I knew once I started making the project, I would start to feel better. It worked! It’s proven that Art can help with your mental health and I hope more will embrace Art to help them - even if it’s not “pretty”. Make bad Art! It’s all about the process. Life has gotten rough lately and I truly thought about quitting this channel all together, but ...
Things I'm Working on in the Studio
Переглядів 186Рік тому
It’s been a while! Like many people, I’m still out here job hunting and let me tell you, it has been so unbelievably stressful and disheartening. I’m still making Art while I job hunt and the last 3 weeks I finally stopped being so hard on myself and I created some artwork. Here’s my little “show and tell” moment with a few pieces of Art I’ve made. Please check out my Etsy shop and see if there...
Crush Your Stress - Use Simple Office Supples to Make Art for Stress Relief
Переглядів 159Рік тому
Crush your stress with this project that requires very minimal supplies! This video does show the whole project from start to finish (sped up) so you can see how everything was built up to create the final piece. I even include options and ideas for how to approach the project. This project is a great way to let out some stress even when you’re sitting at a desk at work or at home after a tough...
Let Go and Let It Flow - Getting Out of Your Head and Creating Art for Stress Relief
Переглядів 246Рік тому
We can all agree that life can throw you some punches and it can be hard to get back up. Stress can overtake us and we go day to day worried about what is coming next. Making Art just for the sake of making it can truly be something that helps calm your mind. Believe me when I say this - ANYONE CAN MAKE ART! Is everyone going to be good at it? Absolutely not and that’s the fun part! We don’t al...
Nostalgia Vibes! Shrink Charms Fresh From the Mall!
Переглядів 111Рік тому
I love a good throwback project! I never got to use Shrinky Dinks as a kid so when I was an Art teacher and learned more about them I was hooked! This material is so versatile and has developed into many different forms over the years. This particular set was found in a mall at a Suncoast Motion Picture Company store (I know! Wild that the store is still around! What a pinnacle of my teen years...
Paint With Me - Ultimate Beginner Watercolor Galaxy (How-To)
Переглядів 201Рік тому
Yes...the goofy razzle dazzle thubmnail was to get your attention....hopefully it worked! As a former K-12 Art teacher, I know firsthand how it can feel uncomfortable when you’re starting a new medium and feeling discouraged to continue practicing with it when you make mistakes. I decided to make this video a FULL LESSON on creating a watercolor galaxy for absolute beginners! (That’s why it’s s...
Art for Adults - Kid Craft Edition - Unwind and Have Some Fun!
Переглядів 219Рік тому
Let’s jump in and make a kid craft from Michael’s! Oftentimes as adults we can lose that sense of wonder and imagination. We get so used to the routine of things that we forget to set aside moments to have a little fun. I HIGHLY suggest grabbing an Art kit like this to just let loose and have some chill time! Invite some friends over and make it an event, or just decompress on your own with a c...
Another Trip to Five Below for Art Supplies! Testing Oil Markers
Переглядів 1,5 тис.Рік тому
Another find from Five Below! Browsing the Art supply aisle of Five Below is great because you can find so many great supplies to try out and not spend a ton of money. Last time I was there I found these oil markers. I’ve never seen markers like this and I figured they might be similar to paint markers. Here I am testing these out on the various surfaces suggested on the package. Let’s see how ...
Paint by Number from ALDI - Is This Kit My Arch-Nemesis?
Переглядів 3,5 тис.Рік тому
There aren’t enough words to describe my love of ALDI grocery stores. I remember when the stores started spreading throughout my area. Shopping there was so helpful when the last of your paycheck was lingering in your bank account after paying bills. With 20 bucks in your pocket you can not only find excellent grocery options but some creature comforts as well. I was browsing the aisles while d...
Watercolor + Doodle Project for Adults Starting out with Art - Great Stress Relief Project!
Переглядів 3,8 тис.Рік тому
Today we’re joining two worlds together: Doodling and Watercolor. This is a perfect project for the beginner who wants a nice introduction to watercolor. The doodles added at the end are a way to extend the project and let your imagination take over. The goal of all of my videos is to approach Art outside the realm of realism. As adults we can sometimes focus too much on what the end goal is su...

Getting Started with Watercolor for Absolute Beginners 🎨
Thank you for mentioning the smell on those outline markers you saved me the money
Great work
I’m sitting down in a noisy restaurant waiting for my food while watching your video. I put on the closed caption and can’t hear you very well BUT just from looking at your facial expressions , I can tell I love love love your personality. I subscribed in less than two mins. I can’t wait to get home and actually hear you !
I’ve just watched this video and this lady is hilarious 😂 the finish result with the abstract was beautiful I loved it and thank you for making me smile today you brightened it up for me 😊 ❤ xxx
Omgoodness this is the best art tutorial I have ever seen. The first highlight was the deadpan reveal of the end result. Priceless. Second highlight was your giggle throughout. You made my day.
Paint by numbers are my nemesis as well. But you make it so fun. Absolutely love you.❤
I like ALDI and I like paint by numbers, so that was perfect. Thank you!
You are such a good vibe. I subscribed 20 seconds into the video. The art channel I've been searching for x
This is so hilarious!
Oh Darling - Bless your heart - you really brightened my day...Your giggles and joy 💞...mixing it up with mocktails, cocktails, pixie sticks & smarties (snacks) ...& then eventually letting what is was you needed to on the journey including the actual paint-by-numbers....there's beauty in that 💞...& how you embraced your own masterpiece. Bless 💞 (I am currently painting a fairy & unicorn of the same brand - & oh my yes I ran out of paint & a big noooo to 2 x coats for me - I use a magnifying glass to help see what I am painting LOL ) x
I found you by typing in Art for Adults in UA-cam and I am glad I found you. I subscribed. I love all the tips you provide. I learned a lot from just one video. i will come back for more. I am a professional artist but there is always something new I can learn. Thank you so much for being on UA-cam.
How much was this?
This is hilarious. I get you. You already have a style you love. Paint by numbers are for those of us that have no painting experience. I am almost 58 I still can not draw stick ppl 😂... so these are not for you. Your video was so funny. You have a great presence on here.
I just haven’t got the patience to do those but I remember that cool book I found in the range which was sticker art which had different colour stickers featuring lots of different animals also really enjoy doing the colour by number digital art apps on my iPad
I KNEW this video was for me based on the title- because I won't even start based on how I perceive I will fail- holding myself to unrealistic standards of perfection from the jump (I KNOW< I KNOW)- and I TOO, LOVE ALDI! TY so much for this!!! <3 *fire!*
Well- I will never Bob Ross at this rate- OML HAHA- But-- flaps arms/wings- "Hey, It could happen!" <3 - my trepidation is stopping me- plus, nightmares from hs art class- I can't perspective draw ANYTHING- what do you mean, draw a fence off into the landscape?! I can't draw a straight line with a ruler- I have not painted- so, fear of failure is stopping me from buying- plus, overplanning the execution- what will my tools and setup be?-- hmmm-- <3 You are DELIGHTFUL!! <3 YES, with my Spotify Infinite Playlists- I have ALL THE SONGS!
I thought they were paint pens too. Thank you for your video- I won't be purchasing now !
I love Aldi and I love their winking owl. Txs for the tip
This was hilarious!
Love it!
... don't mind me I'm on a Bella marathon! 🩷😌
I relate with you so much x
Very inspiring. Will play with my watercolours and make marks
Hi Bella I’m new here
😂 I did a Google for Aldi paint by number and your video was first. I'm not an art person at all. I thought the distraction would be helpful, but.... the paint seems awful and I did run out, on barely the first coat. My directions didn't say needs two coats, but I feel like it's going to need way more!😢 I guess for $4.99 I should have known. 😅 Your video made me lol, thank you.
You are a party unto yourself! OMG you’re so fun! 😂 It is so interesting to hear you say you struggle with your art. We tend to think people who’ve studied art don’t struggle but art is a part of our energy and shifts with all that we experience and internalize. I truly enjoy your videos and spending time with you through video. ❤
I enjoyed watching and listening. See your smile next time.
Hey girl hey I been doodling all day oooo it’s helping my anxiety
Miss you hope your well and still creating
You are a joy 😊
Thank you for making this video even though it was hard. It felt very encouraging to listen to and watch you work.
I enjoyed watching the tutorial. I am glad you are feeling better. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’m so sorry you’re in a funk Bella. I get it. So am I. This video came at the right moment for me, so thank you! ❤
Lovely art work. I love your cheery voice and how excited you are to show your talent & expertise ✨💜✨
❤life gets busy, ❤️
Always like seeing you…..and your art. Take care Bella.
Thank you for this video! This seems like a great technique for relaxing and not feeling too pressured. Just enjoying the process!
Love your videos and wish you nothing but the greatest success; BUT, there's always a bit isn't there. Okay here it comes, if I may offer one but of constructive criticism, noise defusers, please!. Your videos are great. Your education great. Your efforts great. Your voice eloquent, clear, diction spot on. Still the voice seems painful to the ear. It isn't your voice, it's the reverb of the walls. Maybe you can go to a carpet store and ask for off cuts, or use some packing foam or something on the walls and spots along the floor. You know how sound changes when one walks into a bathroom. The way sound amplifies. That's what it sounds like. Again, I love everything you do and wish you nothing but success. Thought that constructive criticism could help add to the quality of your videos and therefore added subs and more money.
I heard "Get serious" and was confused for a minute, am I on the right channel? LOL
So simple but so cool! Saving for later
Can't wait to try this. Looks so fun and relaxing. Thanks for sharing! And, best wishes with selling your art
Cool activity! I love that it doesn't require many supplies.
Thanks. I have done something like this before but I just colored it. I love the other choices that you gave too! I think I will try one today. What do you have the pictures behind you clipped to? I have been trying to find a way to display some of the things I make without framing everything.
Ooo this looks so fun!!! Thanks for sharing the idea! And good luck with the store. I hope things work out so you can open it again soon.
Thank you so much!!
Love this! Been looking for new, imperfect ways to create and this is (ironically!) perfect. That cut, paste, randomise idea’ll be great to shake my perspective up. Thank you for sharing your energy and effort~❤️💙💚💖💛🙏
Fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration. Your videos are a treat for my eyes and ears.😃.

Beautiful work. You're very inspiring! I really need to do this & not overthink it...that's were I find I get frustrated & stuck. 😊
I feel your stress. I'm also having to decide the fate of my business.... Not an easy thing. I hope you only have to put it on pause for a little while. Big virtual hugs!
I hope so too! Good luck to you and your business as well!
