How exciting for Jacob! I hope he had a great field trip listening to Chris Hadfield!! That supper looked very yummy. Also Ginger is so playful. To me, she has the perfect name because she reminds me of a movie star from the 40s. With her ginger hair and it is so curly-like the tight perms women used to have way back in the day.

Those sourdough bagels looked awesome Lindsay!! I have been meaning to get a sourdough starter going and now I am convinced I must do it. Those bagels convinced me . And I recall the sourdough loaves of bread you made were lovely too. Ginger is growing for sure and what a comical and active little pup she is…You say she is a teacup poodle ..how big is she expected to get ? Our little Chihuahua is 6 years old and he tips the scales at 5 pounds. He is a total bundle of joy…as Ginger no doubt is to you all !! The kiddos will have some fun with her this summer out in the yard and probably even in the pool. Poodles love water so she may be a water loving pup in time. I was thinking as you were washing up at the sink, "oh what a pretty photo above the sink", then I realized it was a window and that was just a stunning sunset view. Your bagels looked amazing, with or without the hole, yum. I should really try doing a sourdough starter so I could give them a try, I think we would love them. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Such a sweet pup 🐶 💕 the puppy stage is cute and a lot of work getting them used to the bathroom routines but so worth it. Those bagels look delicious 🥯. Easy suppers are great aren't they. We don't always feel like making a big meal. There's so much to do throughout the day, it's amazing that we squeeze it all in. That's s beautiful evening sky. 🌙 It's supposed to be a really nice weekend here, hopefully it's the same in NS 😊 Have a good weekend. PS...... Ginger really has grown. I noticed it right away. Animals are like kids..they are not little long enough. My son found a tiny fluffy kitten last week. She had an eye infection and was starving. He named her Scarlet. He loves cats. I haven’t made it over to see her but he sends me pictures and video clips and she is getting so much bigger! The cardigan you have on is so pretty. I fixed breakfast for supper last night. We had biscuits and gravy and hash browns. It was really good. We will probably have it again today since I made enough for leftovers. The bagels looked really good. I don’t make bread anymore except for quick breads. It’s pumpkin and cranberry season and that makes me happy lol. It was really nice seeing the whole family today. I’m glad we caught a glimpse of Dave. He works so hard! I hope you all have a great weekend ❤

Personally, I'd prefer if it was a gift to me, the nicely browned cookies. They were not burnt but nicely crisped to the right point. Just goes to show you, you never know. I doubt any receiver would not eat them either way. And that we are all different. I don't want cookies that I feel really needed two more minutes in the oven. Or things like toast that is barely past being bread and not toasted. I think you are being critical of self, I'd have eaten either version but still I'd have preferred the nicely browned ones by far. I used to do this when my kids were younger as yours are. Stress myself over perfection and giftis and holidays and school and you name it. I have hindsight. And if I stick around or live long enough, I think you will come to that too. Your show is showing me there isn't much difference whether US or Canada, etc. or generations even on some things. What matters is your kids and not the bs the schools put on you or on the mom thing or on the kids themselves. If one goes for a perfect Christmas, and beieve me I used to when my kids were that age, it is so stressful. And i was a divorced mom working full time and felt i had to meet this thing, this image. And thank God I learned before mine were too old that it wasn't what I wanted to show them anyhow. Just from an old lady or older lady. i wouldn't do it the same again. And I learned not to before they were grown. Enjoy the holidays Buy the gifts for teachers, if you can afford to, spend time with your kids and family. That's what matters. Maybe make some cookies, maybe use a mix, or maybe just make two versions of homemade and not try to do it all. I can look back and thinik of the best Christmases we ever had, and the ones my kids talk about the most too (in late t30s and early 40s now) and none of that is what stood out. it certainly isn't a criticism, I used to do it too. And then even kids fell under such thoughts or expectations but I can tell yuo later on, such isn't what is remembered. I loved browned cookies. I hate doughy barely baked cookies.

We do a huge family one at my mom's on the Saturday-that way everyone can come. And then we do our small family one on Sunday. Then Monday is for movies and leftovers! Well, your lunches all looked great, but the kids just weren't hungry, a little strange but sometimes it happens, just so weird on Pizza Day that none of them ate it. Hoping that ordering school lunches will get easier. How exciting for Jacob and his field trip, something exciting to look forward to. I loved hearing little Emily chime in during one of the kids lunch box emptying by saying "I'll eat it", she is so cute. We had to cancel our trip as I came down sick, tried to get to see a doctor but ended up with a telemedic appointment, which I hate because they are just guessing by what you tell them it feels like. I'm on an antibiotic but still feel like I need to actually see a doctor, unfortunately in California if you have even one covid symptom they won't see you, ugh. Hoping you had a nice Thanksgiving, and that you enjoyed the long weekend. How is Ginger doing? It's always a little rough with a new puppy. Thanks for sharing Lindsay, I always enjoy these videos.

That is going to be an awesome experience for Jacob..can’t wait to hear how it went and how much he enjoyed it !! Sounds to me like the lunch program has a few kinks to get worked out. Having to put in an order for your kids lunch two weeks ahead of time sure can make things difficult . Especially as you never know if your child will be sick as Jacob was the last time you ordered his and he missed out on having it . Thursdays mix up kinda shows the kinks in the program ; one kiddo had a lunch from the program and one didn’t! Oh well…things will get smoothed out in time. How is Gingers potty training going ? She sure is one sweet little pup ! Training a pup can be challenging this time of year with the colder weather ..but we found when training our pup that the cooler weather just made him do his business that much faster as he wanted back in to the warmth of the house !! Hope the kiddos had a lovely long weekend and enjoyed playing with Ginger ! 😊👍🦋. Kiki

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 The lunch system seems off. Not set up very well. Great lunches as always. Jacob gets to meet an Astronaut, wow that's very cool. Boy it's quite cool out there and it sure drops down overnight too 😮. Were using the woodstove for a few days now. We were supposed to go to my brother's place today for Thanksgiving supper but he came down with Covid so we're staying home. I made cabbage rolls, homemade biscuits, and pumpkin 🎃 pie 🥧. Good afternoon! Love your lunch videos. I find them very interesting even though my boys are adults now. I think part of it is being able to see the kids ❤.. I’m sure you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to ours. I’m hoping I can have the boys and their significant others for turkey. It all depends on their schedule. I noticed you used the ends of the bread for one of the grilled cheese. My kiddo won’t eat the crust but if you flip it so the outside is inside they have no idea they have the ends.

Lindsay this video brought tears to my eyes I loss my dog last Sunday morning she was 12.5 years old such a sweet girl . I know the feeling of loss like you all . But Ginger will certainly give you some wonderful fun years ahead, she's adorable Congrats to you & your family . I am not sure if I will get another dog because I loss two already but maybe down the road if the right little one comes along needing a home . So happy for you all . That lunch-ordering system sounds very confusing! Hopefully it will get sorted out as time goes by. When I made naan pizza recently, I had the opposite problem--I undercooked it, because I was worried I would burn it. I'll try it again at some point. I hope Ginger is settling in to the family.

I just wanted to let you know that I tried your peppers and sausage with rice tonight for supper and it was wonderful. I will be making that again. Though I did a shortcut with the peppers and onions. I bought the frozen instead of fresh. It’s hard for me to cut vegetables due to my dexterity.
