I think Krista Hess is the only guitarist I can think of who fingers the frets the way they tell you to when you're learning. We had a guitarist that played like that but he doesn't play any more, so Krista, you may be unique. :D

It's a shame that this combo didn't hang for the long run, they had a lot of potential.
