Saw this in my local guitar shop over the weekend I was aiming for a AZ2402 but they only had this I played it for 15 minutes and instantly felt it was right for me a flat fret board a lovely neck and body it was ideal. Sadly at £1150 for a ex-demo or £1200 new it was out of my price range and I could get 2nd hand AZ for that (if I can sell me PRS)

Ibanez totally got these two colors wrong. Put the Edge on that ashy black one and make this natural version hardtail (still gold though!). I hated that I had to compromise. This one is so freaking gorgeous…that I bought it anyway. I’ve only had for a few days and happily…it seems the edge is wonderfully stable unlike a FR. On the plus side it is a much bigger slab of gold metal than a hard tail would be so it does add to the aesthetic 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just happy that they got rid of the "frost" edge on the earlier brown version. Now its the brown version of the blue one.

Well, I hope thats a budget friendly guitar, as its made with the same body wood as Harley Benton, cheap looking rosewood, no stainless frets, and the boring standby pickups that Ibanez cant seem to break away from. (not that theyre bad)

Hi, nice video! I have an important question: Can it fit 11 gauge or bigger strings? Because I would like to play it in Drop A but I read around that strings bigger than 10 gauge don't fit. I hope it's fake. A thousand thanks!

I will admit I am not a fan of the Premium range purely due to them being built in the indonesian factories. I brought an ibanez jem 7vp and it was in shocking condition for the price. Ive seen better craftsmanship on a guitar half its price. Shame really as I love the jem. Just cant justify the $6000 price point for a the Vai PIA

I bought my son one of those, It's a pretty cool guitar!

I love the specs but the inlays and top finish with poplar burl and visible neck joints is too much for me. If it would have simpler/no inlays and poplar burl all over the top that would be a dream guitar for me.

This is great but comparing the value to RGRT421 it's hard to justify the price since they are made in the same factory. I get that the hardware is upgraded but cmon, you could buy almost 3 RGRT421 for that price.

I own some premiums (Indonesia) & Prestige (Japan made), the previous premiums version matched the general QA manufacture of the Japanese prestiges except some hardware parts & neck construction, but the craftmanship is astounding. Hope this one could rivalice entirely with these paricular improvements , but a better price.... in my local guitar store I could test it, it´s a great guitar , but my doubt was only related to the surface cause the finish is tone/coloured/oiled wood with no lacker , not showing strong durability againts scratches or hits, if you treat her with great care (so much care) you will have a monster guitar.

I used to hate Ibanez! As a bassist growing up I hated everything about their instruments, but they have stepped up their game and I am now a fan!

This is perfect, I wish it has real MOP instead of acrylic, though.

Really disappointed this model doesn't come with stainless steel frets, otherwise it would be an instant buy from me.

I'm an Ibanez fanboy but I'll sit out 2022. The 1990s black metal-esque font design of the Iron Label says "use bridge pickup only to please Satan", therefore the switching system is overkill for the genre this guitar is aimed at - I don't see gentle modern young artists craving for a Solar / LTD's Black Metal series type of guitar to try out their Neural DSP plugin's clean sounds in 200 different switching positions. No stainless steel frets, bummer. For this amount of money you can get a standard Solar guitar AND a Helix Stomp, or a top of the line Solar/LTD with Evertune and Fishman pickups, or an AZ if you're into experimenting with pickup arrangements and multiple genres. I'd expect to see a 'made in japan' inking on this guitar for this price, the Genesis series have that for less $. It's 2022 btw, at this point almost everybody bought at least one guitar with a satin/matte finish in the past 5-10 years - these instruments get greasy and oily all the time, they look gross, homeless, pale and sick in the sunlight, and they'll get permanently glossy where you touch them the most. That's the exact opposite of the modern, fierce, ninja, elegant vibes you'd have hoped to get from this thing on the long run. If you're asking for premium money, only veterans will turn up and they already know this. Waiting for 2023 to be bangin'. Hopefully. Ibanez needs to lower their prices and put in more QC, the competition is not sleeping. Epiphone just dropped their Prophecy series w Fishmans, locking tuners, ... in them, checking all the boxes for way less dough.

Ibanez needs to make the Antique Brown finish available on the Hard tail version
