Die musikalische Ausstattung ist ganz wunderbar wie fast immer bei den Wienern. Die Musik vibriert geradezu vor dramatischer Spannung. Ein echter Verdi, musikalisch glaubwürdig und an beste Zeiten erinnernd. Die Inszenierung meinte die Oper als historisches Bild, wie es "früher mal in Spanien zuging". Sehr schwerfällig, vielleicht auch wieder Jemand, der Musik aus tiefster Seele nicht mag ? Vielleicht ? Sie sterben nicht aus. Die Sänger alle Superspitze. Ich danke und verbeuge mich zutiefst. Eine grosse Bereicherung❤❤❤❤❤heart

Non sono contrario per principio alle messe in scena attualizzate. Ma Don Carlo non è opera adatta e qui l'idea è incomprensibile. Rodrigo gile jaune non si può vedere.

Ми були на цій виставі 3.10.24. Єдина відміна- тенор був у кращій формі та їх дует з Асмік видався на славу. Григорян була прекрасна! Загалом музично все добре. Але режисура! Ми бачили багато поганого на сценах світу, але такого бездумного, неестетичного та просто жахливого навіть не уявляли. Коли демонстранти почали трясти тряпками, а кіно показувало експлуатацію текстильної промисловості, дуже хотілося вийти. Багато людей так і робило. Насправді це експлуатація модних тем, забруднення середовища і таке інше, як кажуть на росії "не годиться навіть у Красну армію", тобто повне ... А ще й претензії на вишуканість з інститутом. Що за несмак! Хочеться спитати: "Хто це дозволив!!!!". Невже у Віденській опері не було хоч якоїсь людини, що сказала б, що король голий? І що цікаво, ще й знайдуться корисні ідіоти, що будуть стверджувати, що ми чогось високого та вишуканого тут не зрозуміли. Але якщо щось виглядає як ***, пахне як ***, то воно те і є, навіть якщо у буклеті до вистави буде багатослівне роз'яснення особливо прогресивного характеру цієї субстанції. Ще треба додати, що відео виглядає краще ніж це було у залі, тобто воно не передає весь несмак в повній мірі. Загалом то ми бачили вже вистави Сєрєбрєнікова у Відні, Парижі та Гамбурзі. Дещо подобалося, дещо ні. Але щоб так...

I am all for new and fresh concepts for old operas but the person who directed this (I would bet) has never read the libretto or listened to the music. His concept is so disconnected from the spirit and the logic of the text & the music it is hard to take him seriously. Wiener Staatsoper should be ashamed of itself. YOU are one of the most significant carriers for the great tradition of opera and this is what you present to your public??? This is audience abuse. If this is an audience's first encounter with Verdi's Don Carlo then you as a production company have perpetrated fraud and you need to reimburse your audience.

Thankfully I can just read something else while I hear the audio of this video. The singers sound excellent, the conducting is good. I think we should start a movement called OPERA IN CONCERT RIGHT NOW! After all, if clothing, scenario, direction and everything else that makes an opera libretto understandable and more compelling to see on the stage matter increasingly less, to the point that operas are staged without virtually anything but plain and ugly contemporary clothes and some chairs or boxes, and the direction of the performers often tells them to act and move in ways that make them look like deranged people that say one thing and do another without any corresponding context... then what's the point of spending so much to perform operas? We could have twice or thrice as many operas staged at opera theaters, with lower costs and much lower risks. Just saying ;-)

Esta producción sería más interesante si cambiaran el libreto de la ópera y lo adecuaran a la historia que quieren contar, de lo contrario la puesta se reduce a una cosa absurda y ridícula.

I have to say that I didn't have too much of a problem with the production. It's not the best I've seen, by any means, but I don't disagree with the basic concept of setting it in a Museum of Historical Costume......it examines the idea that the clothes royalty were supposed to wear were like imprisonment....apparently they needed six people to help them dress every morning. However, I don't think the metaphor can be sustained throughout the opera........Meanwhile, the cast was wonderful, more than making up for the deficiencies of the production. They worked well together as a team as well.

Ich habe die Premiere besucht. Die Inszenierung eine totale Fehlinterpretation. Das die Buh Rufe vor dem letzten Akt und am Ende ist eine Unverschämtheit. Zensur pur.

Pausing around 34 min. to say I'm finding extra-Good, and not only the singing! To me it means tons, far from assumed as far as updated stagings myself. Incredible acting by these fantastic singers. 4th act already now. Kirill Serebrennikov, the staging director as I read somewhere, may never give extensive explanations on his vision for this production as I wish he would. Unique production, appreciating very much.
