Today James from JDP Auto Engineering installs a water tank from Under Ute Tanks (www.underutetanks.com/). This video steps out everything you need to know for installation on your VW Amarok.
Please Can you do a video on how to replace the amarok headlight bulbs without removing the entire headlight. It would really help me in trying to do it myself
Low beams can be done with the headlight in the car. High beams require the headlight and bumper to be removed.

Also just found out it doesn’t work with vehicles with ADBLUE cause the adblue tank is exactly where this water tank should go

Is it worth bracing the remaining tabs aling the top of the tail gate? And does the outter skin of the tailgate now wobble or pop in/out easily, especially near the middle and if so, would injecting some expanda foam inbetween the storage tray floor and tailgate skin help with this. *I also stand on my tailgate quite often. Is the lid strong enough to take an adult's full weight standing on one foot near the center?
Standing on the unit is no issue at all. The outside skin of the tailgate is "softer" but doesn't dint.
VE door cards are by far the easiest door cards I have ever removed and re-installed .... I too had the peeling plastic chrome .... good one Holden

@@JDP_AUTO_ENGINEERING how to pop off the weather liners and black plastic for replacement would ge awesome. Just got a VF that needs some moulding and seal restoration to look like new, parts arent the issues, but getting the old stuff off is haha.

Good easy to follow DIY vid. Just FYI, We called them door trims at Holdens not cards. Good to see you didnt break any of the door trim plastic clips.

It is X-Force indeed, but unable to buy it at the time from the site so had to go through a retailer that stocked and sold them. Was purchased from GM Motorsports in Melton. Came with, full middle section with no mufflers and de-catted pipes, into the bi modal rear mufflers for no noise or full noise. All 3" system. As well as the electrics for it minus the smart box. Hope this helps

Nope, other then the exhaust will run to the back of the car I believe (which the tank is designed for) and if you have an adblue model it won't work.

Hey mate great video. Just can't work out if you dropped the tail off the exhaust for this install? Mine runs on the inside of the chassis rail on the drivers side, but can't see yours in the video. Wasn't sure if you had a custom exhaust or it had been removed. TIA
Hey buddy, I believe all 4cyl roks have the stock exhaust dump at the diff like ours. The tank we installed from Under Ute Tanks has a provision for the exhaust to run to the back of the car like some Roks have. It should fit up no problem without having to move the exhaust as the instructions didn't mention having to remove it by memory. Good thing to note that if you have an adblue model, this tank won't work. Cheers

We are lucky that together, we have a diverse range of skills and knowledge that can be applied over what we enjoy doing with cars.

Where are the Mustangs?
Unfortunately no
Loved the video you guys. Great to see young blokes interested in the forgotten (lesser known) gems, and I love "White Lightning" (Barra'd Falcons and even late model Mustangs are just too common to be very interesting to me - even though I like 'em). My second ever car was a KA Laser Ghia (5speed man), and it served me well for several years. I also now look for lesser common classics to save (if no one does it, there will be none to be seen and enjoyed), and currently have a NC Fairlane Sportsman Ghia (not as rare as White Lightning...but still one of about 1800 made) with the Tickford 4.0, she's a great old cruiser, and goes just as well as the V8 IMHO. I will have to see if I can get her down to Geelong for next year's event. Cheers!

I have White Lightning no. 96. I believe there were only 250 or so built. I almost swapped an EL XR8 for a TX3 Turbo AWD.
Amazing, 3dr or 5dr? We think about 270 were actually made, as you probably know Ford kept no track of the WLs and there serial numbers.
Haven't seen one of the 4x4 lazers for years. I knew a couple who had one in Brisbane 20 years ago. There used to be a Mazda /Ford Telstar running around which was also a turbo 4x4 with a sticker in the back window proclaiming " whipped by your grandmas car..."
They are absolute pocket rockets, that black one did a lot of motorkhara back in the day.
