John Jones was my great, great grandad. His wife Anne my great, great grandmother. I don't think he died on the island. He was injured but died 3 weeks later (us Joness are made from strong stuff). They had a house in Holyhead which was also owned by the lighthouse company. I think it may have been there he died. He and Anne had 7 children so must have been tight squeeze in the house. Anne was actually invited to take on John's position after he died. The first ever woman to be invited to do so.

There were paranormal things happening in the house before the murders, which is why the father bought holy objects and placed them all around the house, you can see them from the crime scene videos. We will never know what really happened that night, because Defeo couldn't tell the truth for anything. I just think the facts and evidence do not make sense -and haven't been explained to this day. Anyone who lives there or is connected to the house eventually has something happen. Something is not right.

I've often wondered if the girls were already dead when mum returned home and if so did he torture her by showing her their bodies or did he kill Shanann and baby Nico first then the girls.

Was there in late 96 early 97 absolute hell hole of a place. This place broke many people the so called instructors weren't instructors but bullying arseholes who got away with anything. Remember one civi pti who thought he was god and made one lad run back to camp through the woods with a broken arm and then when we got back wouldn't allow him to go right to the med centre. He ended up leaving medical discharge due to damge to his arm.

One has to admire Timothy for his commitment and love for the bears, but he was seriously misguided and arrogant to think that nothing would happen to him. Returning to camp with his girlfriend when he knew the bears were becoming aggressive pre hibernation, was the height of foolishness, not only did Timothy lose his life, but his girlfriend and two of the bears he loved. 😢😢😢

If this isn’t the real audio of the bears eating some long pig for dinner then where is the original audio for those people who want to hear the original audio? Adults can chose to listen or not listen if they may be offended to the sounds of nature at the most basic of levels. Censorship hurts everyone and allows for secrets to be kept and in a society that holds free speech close to its heart the audio should be made public..

Timmy would’ve done a better job of protecting the bears had he never ever saw one. Seeing this behind the scenes video clip of him going off on everyone and swearing as he did I lost the tiny bit of sympathy I may have had harbored for this sad trapped in his own mind person who in fact, did not rule.

I think the bears had no problem with him there. I believe his girl friend was on her monthly cycle out in the woods and the bears picked up on that and since they were bulking up for the winter she was just advertising an easy meal was ripe for the taking and so the bears dug in and scored an easy meal. Two fresh meals at that.

I don’t think there’s a person on the planet that can say with 100% certainty that somebody didn’t record that audio. That tape went through so many hands before it ended up where it is now. Anyone from the guy flying the plane, to the Park rangers, to the police officers, to the sheriffs department, and everyone who had access to it at the police station or sheriffs office, and while it was in transit. No one, especially anyone on this thread, can say with 100% certainty that somebody didn’t pick up a device and record that audio. And Verner Herzog can only repeat what he was told, because he would have no independent, first-hand knowledge because he wasn’t there. And everyone that came into contact with that tape could swear they never recorded it, yet every single one of them might have. No one can ever say otherwise. It wasn’t sealed in an evidence bag and kept lock and key since the day the first person picked up that camera. And human nature dictates that it would be very unlikely that no one recorded it. For all those people to have access to it and not one of them recorded it is unlikely. If I had been one of those people up there and I had recorded it and they asked me if had I would say hell no. Just as I’m sure everyone did. And if it had been recorded and released by someone the first thing I would say if I was Tim’s family was that what you’re hearing is not the recording. That’s the only option they have. They will always deny that a recording was released. It’s the only way they can protect Tim’s integrity after death. And unless they release the original recording, no one can say they’re lying. And they can say without lying that what you’re hearing is not the original recording, because it’s not. It would be a recording of a recording. And unless the day comes that they release the original if for no other reason then put to rest that what we’re hearing on that other recording is a fake, then we’ll never know. But I guarantee you no one on this thread has ever heard what’s actually on that super eight or whatever it was Tim was using. No one.

Not only that, why would he literally move his tent near the bear territory that's definitely not keeping a safe distance he basically put himself in harms way and the bears in harms way there called wild animals for a reason It's like throwing yourself in front of a moving car and not expecting to get run over, and he seems like he was probably still on drugs because he talks like he's delusional🤦🏾‍♀️
