Thanks for the video, it's a great way to show customers how deadly these things can be. They're a bugger of a design, the factory tells you not to attempt to disassemble them but when the bolts break, there is no option as you would no doubt know. You're a gamer man than me though. I did one today, but I wrap a long chain loosely around the springs and the trailing arm, then load the tyne up by placing it on a block of timber and pushing the subsoiler down using the buckets of two tractors. I cut the lower limit plate out and then take the buckets off. Then lift the three point linkage up which takes all of the load off of the springs and it is easy to remove the bolt and rear rocker assembly. This way there is no need to destroy anything and the chains give us peace of mind that the springs can't go flying. Just with the chain, it needs to be loose, otherwise it will limit the downward travel of the arm and once you've started you don't want to be undoing it.

Dang, hope you had some sort of eye protection on... I broke a back glass out of my New Holland yesterday baling hay. The baler caught some loose gravels hidden in the winrow and chucked 'em at the back glass and it shattered in a million pieces. Like you, I didn't say a word, was kinda shocked I guess. Reached up, turned the a/c off and kept baling.

Bi rotor combine..... They bought the patents years ago from the guys in Kansas. One of the guys just died. The original prototype just sold for like $22000. Faster, half as many parts and more efficient!

Tire pressures on that tractor are too high its slipping alot even for how wet it is.

Very similar results, guess it would come down to build quality, and price.

Crank up the guage wheels, let the sub soiler weight, be carried by the tractor, the down pull of the shanks, will help with traction on the tractor. You can easily control the depth inside the cab. He was using that anyway, in this video, when it pulled to hard.
