Thanks for commenting, I’m not totally sure but apparently it’s a Downer EDI Rail GT46C locomotive there’s more info on Wikipedia about it!

The Q has no particular significance, it is just the letter applied to classify this type of loco. The WAGR adopted an A - Z classification system for its locos, and Aurizon continues to follow the same practice today.

Thanks, yeah I agree but I realised I had the camera on a bad setting for night so that did make it worse but in the end I think it’s still looks alright

@@Watrainchaser Yes, and caustic soda for Wagerup and Worsley refineries is carted from Bunbury inner harbour. Alumina from Calcine (Pinjarra), Wagerup and Worsley is carted to Bunbury. Hydrated Lime was once carted from Kwinana to Calcine and Wagerup, but is now hauled by road. I think the Lime train still runs from Kwinana to Worsley.

Yep apparently the grain train was going through the swan valley or something at the time even though it came when the PN went through!

@@jamesstirling3792 good question, well there not coming from the Eastern states so not really they usually do short journeys around forrestfield and Kwinana/ North Quay but I guess if you wanted you could classify them as intermodals
