Actually,they ran across a bounty hunter on Orb Mantell and it was mentioned in the empire strikes back at the beginning while in the hoth base. The Orb Mantell incident was in the newspaper comic strip during the early 80's. Not what happened in the Christmas special,it was boba fett's first appearance.

I was SOOOOOO sad to see Art Carney in this. I grew up watching him play one of the greatest comedic characters of all time Ed Norton on the Honeymooners, then he was cast in this.

I think that segment was animated because they couldn't afford good sets like the movie (nor did they have the imagination) because look at this fucking shit that was supplied; it's terrible!
