“The world isn’t waiting for more of the same”
Video essays, stories, films.
John is the creator of "This is a Story." He is a self-recognized film person who sometimes has interesting things to say and sometimes does not. He currently lives in a small cubby, which he finds soothing and peaceful. He began his career as a door-to-door salesman, a job which he found too exciting and promptly quit after a particularly daring incident with a ferret. You can sometimes find John on the Today Show, where he likes to stand behind the glass and hold a sign which reads, “Hi, Mr. Roker.” He is currently missing. Having gone up in a hot air balloon, never to return. If you have information on him, please don’t.

How is he the most underrated actor in Hollywood
usually when people suffer the types of injuries stammer has, they are typically never the same. Although, stammer has proved that anything can occur through rigorous rehab and stability and it has led to him always picking up right where he left off prior still getting 40 goals a year on average. Even more impressive that despite a couple lengthy absences, he still scored the 2nd most goals in the 2010s decade
This video is ridiculously good, the pacing is just immaculate, really really deserves more views. I’ve always been a fan of Welles but haven’t watched any of his stuff in a few years and this definitely rekindled my interest.
I appreciate that, thank you. And I’m glad it rekindled Welles for you!
Immortal!!! ❤️♥️🌍🌎🌏
George C Scott was a brilliant actor, real charisma and strangely attractive although not conventionally handsome. One of my favourites. Passed away too soon aged 71 but the heavy drinking won't have helped his health. Underrated actor I think.
Taika Waititi! Movie is Hunt for the Wilderpeople
😂😂😂
Fascinating.
A man so great, he was immortalized as the wannabe world conquering mouse "The Brain" in Animaniacs. #PinkyAndTheBrain
God's sense of humour,,,, can't help but laugh.👍 😂 ✝️
one of the best films ever made
I could be wrong but the reason Randolph Hurst thought citizen Kane was about him ,I think is Kane says something like I'll provide the pictures ,you provide the war,a quote supposed to have been uttered by Hurst.
Magnificent Ambersons is one of my favorites. I need to explore more of his catalog.
That was some acting by Sinatra, as he detested Scott who beat the crap out of Ava Gardner
George C Scott was a legend in Hollywood.
Fantastic!!! An excellent film. It was very well done!!!
Thank you!
I thought the last great movie star was Paul Newman.
God he was so good in The Hustler.
Great in everything he ever did, but The Hustler, he nailed it, literally every scene, he totally took over the entire screen
WHAT IS THE MOVIE. SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE ☹️
The Hospital (1971)
the 2nd clip is from 'The Exorcist 3' surprisingly good horror film.
I had no idea George C. Scott went to the Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada hospital.
I love this scene. Brilliant film. Love that we get to see the director doing the eulogy scene.
I could listen to Tarantino talk about movies all day long
Daniel Radcliffe is an amazing actor. He's done well. The movies I've seen with him outside of Harry Potter (and I should watch more! I've been meaning to watch the Weird Al movie for a while now) we're all great. I loved Horns, great movie.
There is so much sh*t on UA-cam but this excellent piece is well written analysis of George C Scott.. Thank you
I knew about him because of The Rescuers Down Under and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM. HE IS SO HILARIOUS. AND PERSONALLY HE MIGHT BE ONE OF MY CELEBRITY CRUSHES. (Except he’s no longer alive so that sucks. ☹️)
His Scrooge is, imho, the best performance of the character ever. Watching the movie every Christmas is a tradition.
ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITE ACTORS OF ALL TIME.. THE BEST PORTRAYAL OF EBENEZER SCROOGE,, IS MY FAVORITE PERFORMANCE BY GEORGE..
*THE* best Ebenezer Scrooge. Hands Down. It's not Christmas without watching "A Christmas Carol" starring George C. Scott.
Scott has so many powerful scenes in movies. When he's thrown against the cell wall in Exorcist III, and gives the "I believe" speech, ending with him screaming "YOU SON OF A B1TCH!" with spit flying out of his mouth, I get chills every time. Parts of the film Hardcore were filmed in my hometown. There is a scene where Scott's character is shown his missing daughter in an adult film. His slow burn during the scene, leading up to him fully breaking down emotionally is a perfect example of the power you got when you hired George C. Scott for a role. And those two films are rarely considered his best performances.
That voice...
I would have loved to have seen his Richard III, and his Shylock. Joe Papp really helped him.
The most underrated actor ever.
First time on your channel, massively enjoyed it, thank you for your commitment.
In the 1950s, a reporter asked a screen writer if she was disappointed that her screenplay hadn't won the Oscar. She said: "Look - Hollywood is a place where they give awards for acting to Charlton Heston."
The last great actor was, unequivocally Mr. George C. Scott. RIP.
He play acted for a living and was a violent drunk.
Among the very best. From Anotomy of a Murder to Paton, always my favorite.
Great presentation of a Great Actor I liked the mix and match comparisons and comments from his contemporaries.
George C. Scott was a better Patton than Patton.
The 2 best movie actors for expressing anger were Kirk Douglas and George C. Scott.
Another fine actor loved him in The Changeling. He never accepted the Oscar for Patton . He wasn't found of them neither was Kate Hepburn. I feel it a privilege to have lived with these actors including Gene Hackman Clint Eastwood Robert Duvall the list is endless.
Interesting video but the subject is not all Scott. Watched for ten minutes and the subject switched to the Oscars (in general), Cagney, and other things. Disappointing.
Something about him which can’t be taught. Not in these clips mind you
Drew Casper of Southern Cal claims here that Scott went to the University of Virginia but Scott's Wikipedia page says he went to the University of Missouri. This piece says his father was a coal miner before moving the family to Pontiac, Michigan. Scott's Wikipedia page only says that his father was a "Buick executive." Since Scott was born in Wise, Virginia, in coal country, his father could certainly have been a coal minor. And since he moved the family to Pontiac, Michigan, a car town, he could have later become a car-company executive--though that would be quite the career leap for a one-time coal-miner.
Excellent piece---very well done, though I would have liked to hear more about Scott's personal life.
Much obliged for this video.
Much obliged with this noble tribute to George C Scott. It was his performance in the movie ''Patton'' that inspired me to volunteer and go to the war in Viet-Nam, which I later regretted.
Thank you very much for your kind words and donation, and although you regret it, thank you for your service as well.
Elizabeth Taylor was the last movie star.
Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt are movie stars in a Hollywood filled with super hero childrens movies. They are the last male stars.
Kirk Douglas was a notorious over actor who tried to steal scenes and was resented for it. I liked watching him. He was good at.😅😂❤
