Who is your car and renters insurance I need this rec lol this is cheap!
UK: 50k lol
what is this rule of 55???
the rule of 55 allows folks to withdraw their funds from their 401k without that 10% early penalty if you're at least 55, and you've left your job during or after the year you turn 55. This only applies to the 401k plan associated with the job you left-- not previous 401ks/IRAs! You will still have to pay taxes but the penalty is waived
@@CloBareMoneyCoach ahhh thank you! Who do I contact about rolling my old 401k over to my new 401k? the new company or the old company, or both?
Wait spend it all on scratch off tickets is not an option lol jk. Great advice and yes unless you are looking at the rule of 55 put it in an IRA.
I think you should roll it into an IRA unless you plan to use the Rule of 55. IRAs tend to have lower fees, and you might forget that the money is there if you leave several decades before you retire.
Great info. Love the Roth IRA. You can take out your contribution without penalty. Great was to subside an emergency fund or I used part of mine for the down payment on my 80 acres. Of course the goal is to never touch it but I’m an over saver anyway. Keep the videos coming.
Love it, always great info. Keep stacking that cash and invest it!!!!
VOOG is my favorite. Best thing to do is open an IRA or brokerage account and every check invest what you can in it. Don’t worry about the market and in 5 to 10 years you will be impressed. Also if anyone has kids take their money out of the bank and open an account for them and teach them too. Hello from Wisconsin and love the videos.
Good video. Can you open an IRA in a local banks or does it need to be a brokeage firm 🤔
I would recommend using a brokerage, not a bank! Banks are usually more expensive!
Great info and it has never been this easy in the past. So many companies to go through, link a bank account and buy the S&P500. Or log in you company 401k. Easier to save $350 per month over 40 years than try to save a million the last 5 years before retirement. Keep the videos coming.
100%, couldn't agree more!
Omg, not another chick with neck tattoos
That’s what I’m doing
What do you think about HEA'd for someone who needs to clean up their debt.
Should say HEA's
Just here to hit the like button. Watch out this time of the year if you date a hunter. Ask my wife, as the season progresses I'm home less and less until December. Keep the fun videos coming.
You’re my spirit animal
😂😂😂😂
Hi, I’m trying to open an account from Europe (Spain) but one way I tried it was for US only and the other way said a personal investor cannot use it. Any chance you can help? Thanks!
yes unfortunately you can only open a Roth IRA in the US!
Hi Clo! I have an old 401k, which is apparently now referred to as an IRA, that I left at TIAA Cref for the last 4 years. I got a letter from my former employer yesterday (Washington University) that my account will be enrolled into a new structure called "retirement choice". This is so funny to me because I just did your free class on lazy investing and you talk about how employers do these things. I also learned in that class about using capitalize to move my 401k. So, in your opinion, will this new retirement choice investment be a good thing and if not would moving my money to Fidelity be wise. Thanks so much for all you do to help educate us!!
it depends on what type of investments are available! we have a post about what to do with old 401(k)s that might help you make the decision! Here's a link clobare.com/what-should-i-do-with-my-old-401k/
$10K Taxes 😱
It is soo easy if you start young. Encourage others and start a UTMA account for your kids and put it in the S&P500. Love the video. Ya der eh from da north woods of Wisconsin. Squeaky cheese curds and da packers.
Hmm. I think there are macro forces well outside of institutional buyers keeping housing unaffordable. Wage stagnation from productivity growth, unwillingness to rezone to higher density housing, concentration of population into cities, fear of living near people of different ethnic backgrounds (ahem), etc.
Great info. Knowing what you need is a moving target. Promotions, lifestyle creep, medical issues as you age etc can all play a factor. Start young and save what you can. Keep the videos coming. Ya der eh from Wisconsin....... You got my attention when you said cheese lol jk.
We def need a video with the coach - tell us a bit more about what the program is about!
Can you lose money on a money market account?
No, unless you're paying fees and penalties!
Thanks 😊

But she’s not saying how she put the course together, what made it successful, how to launch, did she run ads? Those are atypical results. So she had help?
Great info. Know the goal and figure out a plan on how to get there.
Love the dance moves. Keep rocking it!!!!!!!
Thank you!!! <33
Haters will hate. Keep rocking it!!!!!!!! You are doing great.
aww, thank you!! <33
😂😂😂❤
I've never been happier to be average! You pretty much hit my age and current retirement balance, And I do a little more than 700 a month including my match. This just made me do a little happy dance!!
Aww, so proud of you!!! <3
Right now they say you need about $1.5 million to retire. The cost of everything doubles every 24 years based on a 3% inflation rate so millennials should be shooting for $3 million.
Wow that rent is crazy. I’ve been to Cali a few times but here in WI I have a brand new house and 80 wooded acres $2,400 per month. Although I have to deal with two feet plus of snow and negative 50 deg windchills lol. Love the videos and encouragement. Keep them coming. Ya der eh.
My local hospital announced last month that they are raising their rates by 8%.
Class?
www.thelazyinvestorscourse.com/class here ya goo! :)
That’s a great feeling. I’m in the same boat. I’m shooting for $5 mil in 24 years. Minus inflation would be $2.5 mil in today’s dollars. 4% of that is 100k per year. Most of mine is in Roth. Plus brokerage account, paid off home, and 80 wooded acres.
In 35 years, 4 million will probably but you a used jetski
right?! so you just shouldn't invest anything at all right?
Love the videos.
I did this with my kids too. Only problem is inflation so it won’t be worth as much but a good start. Cost of everything doubles every 24 years meaning that million will be worth about $175k in today’s dollars. Still a good start and growing opportunity.
I’m a single income household with a net worth of $700k and I drive a 9 year old paid off truck. Trying to hit a cool million by 40. If it doubles every 10 years that will be $2 mil by 50 and 4 mil by 60 without adding another dime but of course I will.
I'm here for the moves
Your videos are amazing. I really like it. I am a new subscriber to your channel. Can I talk with you Clo Bare?

Women would label anything and everything as trendy and new by giving it a name for something that has been established for centuries. It’s called saying No
😂 they're looking for a useless win like always
Reminds me of leftovers being renamed 'meal prepping'.
Meanwhile, men when you actually tell them no about anything: 😭🤬👹🤡😡😱😭🤬👹🔫🔫🔫
@@ElissaPancoemeal prepping involves intentionally cooking an amount in excess of what you will be eating that time. I get the sentiment, but.. leftovers are supposed to be unintentional remnants from a meal cooked.
Very good video and yes the government is helpless this years and days
