nice video; brings back memories of our years in Chiclana. We loved our woodland biking adventures and exploring further flung areas of Spain by car. We miss the weather and the beaches but are now enjoying being nearer our family again. Glad you are all still loving life in Spain.

There's a common theme to this. Whenever you have options, you take the most aggressive, least defensive option. The Netherlands is often touted as cycling utopia. People in the Netherlands dont cycle like this. Its central London; ploughing on recklessly without thinking about all the different road users and how they all fit together isn't just insanity, it's not just putting yourself at risk, its putting others at risk. Your hazard perception appears ro be nil. 03:56 its a narrow road; of course the bus straddles the cycle lane. There's a bus stop, which the bus indicates for. 06:04 is the sort of thing that gives cyclists a bad name.

Seems you put yourself in some of these situations. You'll get hurt one day and it'll probably be just as much your fault as the driver with bad observations who hurt you.

All cyclists are a menace on our roads. They constantly break the highway code but want to report car drivers at the drop of a hat for any breach they see fit. The law needs to change to have all cyclists display a registration plate so they are accountable and can be identified and reported for their offences too.

Big time cyclist in London here - dude it’s on you to keep yourself safe. You shouldn’t really be speeding in cycle lanes perfectly parallel with cars trying to turn left… but even if you’re technically in the right is that worth getting killed over?

As you see the rules of the road don't apply to cyclist ie traffic lights , pedestrian crossings , lights on their bikes , moving round from parked cars without looking over their shoulder , riding up on the inside while a car is turning left ( lots killed over the years doing this ) , there attitude is you have to look after me and I can do what I want. And most important no fear of the police because they know they wont do their job .

Why did you not stop at the zebra crossing at 3:12? Pedestrians were clearly waiting to cross, yet instead of stopping as the law requires, both you and the cyclist in front just plough straight across.

I've only cycled central London a couple of times and it's utter dog shit. The so called superhighway is literally designed in such a way to increase conflict. Last time i was there 5 years ago i cycled from Greenwich to Kings Cross, this was a Sunday and still it was f.king awful. I've ridden in a mid sized city since i was a kid but that was when 22% of all work journeys were by bike, even now 40 years on modal share is approx 6%. But compared to London its massively less dangerous and vastly easier to make progress. London is a failure as a whole, loads of good people but far too many who don't give a shit about what they do having a negative effect on others.

Again the cycling here very bad riding like nobody else is entitled to be on the road , how else can peoples the cross the road other than crossing the bike lane u dont even slow down hopping in nto and he pavement rather than stop . Thank god car drivers arnt half as bad

The sound of the bell seems to be much more effective than electronic or siren type audible warnings. Perhaps it’s because pedestrians understand it instinctively.

Tbh i find cars fairly easy to deal with, you can predict their movements. It's the pedestrians walking all over the roads that are a nightmare

The amount of road wasted as cycle lanes

Ive been recommended a few of these videos now and they remind me why I never ever use the cycle lane. So many accidents would be prevented if these "cycle lanes" simply didnt exist. Cycle infrastructure needs to be done properly or not at all, no more of this blue paint nonsense
