Halibut & Lingcod Fishing | Seward, Alaska
Let's be honest, not everyday of fishing is an amazing day of fishing, but we always have a blast.
This trip we went a couple hours out to try out a new spot. The water was great on the way out but we hit some thick fog. Like can't see a darn thing fog. Luckily we have Radar on the Raider, but not so lucky that it wasn't working this day. This was the first day of the season we actually needed the radar and we think that a connection got loose during some work we did to the boat over the winter.
Lesson learned folks: check your stuff at the beginning of the season after your craft sits all winter. It sounds ridiculous, and we do check everything over on our first trip of the season, well everything but the radar I guess. So just be careful not to miss anything cause with some things you can get into trouble when you need it and can't get it to work.
Otherwise, you can see it was a pretty slow day of fishing, but at least we didn't come home empty handed. The wind started picking up and with how far out we were, we thought it best to head in for the day. Still not overly convinced Bailey didn't exaggerate a wee bit so he could say he out fished me.
Thanks for watching! Subscribe to see what we were up to this hunting season!!

Just a couple of out of staters who moved to Alaska to get the most of the outdoors. Bailey 👨🏽, originally from Washington, moved to Alaska in 2015 because what better place is there for hunting and fishing!? Jayme 👩🏼, originally from Tennessee, moved to Alaska in 2019 for her love of fishing and being outside. We now own an ocean boat and spend as much time as we can on the water or on a hunt ...
Salmon Fishing | Salmon Filleting | Sockeye Run | Kenai River | Kenai, Alaska

We spend several days on the Kenai River every year flipping for sockeyes, and it’s crazy the difference the weather and the location you are fishing can make. Some days are sunny and beautiful and some days you are thankful to have packed your rain coat. The second part of the video (when it’s rainy) was overall 24 minutes long un edited, just to give you an example of how long it really took ...

Nice video otherwise, but please don't use dark blue buoys for your pots.
Вид великолепный.❤
Really enjoy your videos, but it would be nice if we could actually see what you are catching. Stationary cameras on the working areas instead of the head camera would be better.
why the ✨ptarmigan✨
Were those fish legal size ? Why would you post this ?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Delicious
I thought he was having a stroke!
It’d be a whole lot better without that music.
My wife calls me the fish daddy so the name is already taken sorry
Grip the bucket with your shoes while working on the body and have your buddy work on the tentacles😅
feel bad for it, just chilling and then 💀
Something about this made me feel so uneasy
We won't root for your safe return
This is so inhumane
Those Custom Rods are Awesome!
Language!.
Poor awebo being eaten
Awebo 😢
You throwing out your gang sign at the end?? 😂
Just a lil “W⬆️🅾️” 😂 we consider it more of a club 😂
yall are living my dream 😂
Our Biggest out of homer alaska 115lbs
Bucketlist
About a 70 pounder. Need to be over twice that size to be in barn door category
😮damn nice halibut.. we catch flounder in south west florida. But those are just huge!!! I want one😅😅😅
Not even in 4wheel drive. Are you guys serious hunters? Lol
What brand pants are those? :)
Wait till that bear catches you out of sport mode
Only one in sport mode ?
Why does it look so much like steak?
I've never had ptarmigan but duck is like that too. Muscles that are used more developed more myoglobin which gives it that red color. I assume chickens don't get nearly as much exercise from running and flying as a wild game bird, which is probably why their meat is less red
Trichinosis?
Gorgeous flight friend!!
Amazing
Homer is my favorite place for a getaway weekend! waters are so clear, what a nice day to go out on!
And everyone in Whittier lives in that building : )
wow, I loved this VR 360 Experience. The mountains all around are amazing, the lake calm and beautiful. The journey nice and smooth and relaxing. Perfect job friend. This is a VR Video I am happy to get behind and cheer on . Giving you a full watch to help increase your watchtime, hitting the love button, and sharing this on one of my playlists. Great job! Curious if you caught anything on that trolling fishing pole during your day here?
That knife has been well cared for.
🎣🎣🎣🍻🍻✝️🙏🇺🇲
Nice. Great work
great video and beautiful boat!!
Cool aerial shots of the destroyed cannery.
Wow slow down a touch when dropping them pots sheesh
The video is on X2 speed when we are dropping the pots we don't set them that fast.
Oh ya very delicious catch there! I love and use those pots as well, congrats
The music was playing and I couldn't hear some of your instructions
if you have any questions, we can answer them! we recently purchased microphones to correct the audio issue we have had in our videos!
Y’all pimpin and shrimpin😂🙌🏼🤟🏽 Have fun, love ya!
Shrimpin ain’t EZ 😂 looks like fun! Let’s collaborate 🤔
Not bad! Especially for a country girl!
Tennessean’s do it best 😉
Love that boat!
That’s why you’ll miss out on the beauty and the fun.
Shrimpin’ ain’t easy 😅
Could you please do a follow up video to this one about how everything tasted? And if you would try anything different the next time. I am mainly interested in the Halibut. I need to can some halibut from my freezer and I have never done it before. I am concerned that it is going to be really dry. Thank you!
yes we will be doing a follow up video for canning but it likely won't be until the early months of 2025. As for the halibut we have used several jars and ours did not turn out dry! We did add olive oil as you saw in the video!
Very nice
Oh yeah!
