@@karenlavric4938 I guess it's about picking the right resort and time to go enjoy. I never have high expectations for food, so the beach is usually the #1 thing on my research list. Sorry to hear about the red flag though, that sounds horrible. =(

Thanks for watching! Yeah, you are able to book advanced, I'm not sure how many days, but I believe a week. (We could book for our whole trip) That being said, they didn't have optimal times available even that far in advanced unfortunately. (The Japanese one only had really late times that we couldn't do with the kids - although some adults in our group tried and they said it wasn't good) Our favorite was the Royale level restaurant for the views and food. I hope you have a blast! 🎉

I paid for it during a black friday deal approx $1800 USD (usually $3350 ish) but in terms of a regular vs diamond club room I can't quite remember the price difference (most likely a few hundred) It wasn't really worth it in my opinion though. (We didn't take full advantage of the free excursion and the Butlers were kind of hard to get a hold of or seemed like we were bothering them.) We had most our fun enjoying the beach and it was pretty quiet in the resort when we visited.

No shortage at our resort, but we really didn't wander outside of the resort.. it was more of a relax and laze type trip for us. I hope you have a wonderful time if you decide to go. Although I do recommend bringing some travel toilet paper.

Its just 1 giant entrance, so I went to the front, and they told me to go up to the 7th floor for royal check-in... honestly speaking, they are kinda strict with having to use the 7th floor if you are royal level. FYI, you can only book for more than 1 day for restaurants from the 7th floor. (Although I found it impossible to book normal hours for certain restaurants)

Hi. Yeah, it was called that on the Barcelo site we booked from. I don't think the resort calls it that, though (kinda confusing, I know). There was no hot tub, 2 bathrooms, and yes, the couch was a pullout, but we never used it (seemed kinda flimsy) My in-law booked the whale excursion from a vendor on the beach. It was like $60 a person, and they left from the marina across the street (5 min walk away). It was a speed boat that actually picked up more people from the main port in Puerto Vallarta. It did come with snacks (sandwich, water, and apple), but we didn't eat it as it was super choppy, and my kiddos got sick. I'd recommend just paying a bit more for a bigger boat if you or your group gets sea sick easily. (Saw some for around $80 ish) but they did leave from the marina that you would probably need to taxi to. If you don't want to plan, book with the resort and they usually have it included (of course they'll add the charge for it too, but less hassle).
