If you like simple Call of Duty games then play Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2007 version man! Buy the Xbox 360 version then play it on Xbox Series X, you can still play the multiplayer and be happy with that game! No game stays the same that’s been around for 20 years! People would get bored!
So you don’t remember the weapon customization in Modern Warfare 3 2011 version!!! You gained new weapons and could put on scopes and different attachments then! You had Spec Ops which you could level up to level 50! You had a robust multiplayer where you could make your guns better but I love how we forget that!!! This game was in the heyday of Call of Duty and was billed as the most best online multiplayer Call of Duty game! You get tons of options to make your guns and equipment better in Black Ops 6 and you don’t like that?????????????? You need your brain checked buddy because the last time I checked that keeps players on the game playing to get better equipment and weapons!
Valid points. But i also think that SBMM has contributed to the decline of the series. Mainly since you don't have a reference of your skill in todays cod, which reduces your sense of accomplishment when doing well. Pre sbmm you could see your KDR improve the more you played. For example when i started in OG MW2 i was absolutely horrible, maybe getting 5 kills a game in the start. But as i kept playing i could see that i got 10 kills consistently then 20 etc. up to my first nuke. And the immense joy i felt when calling that nuke is something i still remember.

Also the bugs, crashes, and terrible optimization kills me too. Also texture streaming. U did that in response to large file sizes yet the game is still 120gb. Now I have to lag in the campaign and solo zombies🤦🏼♂️. I’m having fun but I’m also not thrilled with the choices they made.
The funny thing about the attachment thing is that it is dramatically simplified compared to the last two games where there were like 600 attachments per gun and way more cons on each.

Also I wish they would just make ONE zombie map that is exactly like it used to be in it's prime. No loadouts, operators, warzone elements, a proper athmospheric map and everything.

This is me right now I got Nebula was trying to go for DM but I can’t this game sucks, zombies I think is great but both maps are way too similar and honestly it seems like Liberty Falls will age horribly like Kino has, now what has been said about the new map does sound great, Vultures Aid returning, wonder weapon swords that are in your dedicated melee slot and much more but just because it has all that doesn’t mean it’ll be good and I’m honestly worried I hated Cold War, Vangaurd and MWZ and have about 10-50 hours on all 3 but they just aren’t good so hoping this new map is good
what you're experiencing is the realize of life and entertainmeint in capitalism is devoid of any real emotion and only cares about profit and making it more popular to sell more when you were younger it was the same thing, but as a child you couldnt see how it worked and your young brain filled in the void of consuming a product like that yeah, it sucks god how i hate this world

the older i get im having less fun with competitive games i tend to play mostly co-op and singleplayer stuff now
