This talk was given a decade ago, but I’m gobsmacked by how contemporary Father Richard’s comments are about American politics, except that it’s so much worse today as we plummet toward fascism.

When I’m feeling stressed, listening to what Father Richard Rohr has to say about God’s love brings me peace and serenity.

2023 and R Rohr has continued to show integrity. Pope Francis met with him and if you only ask yourself truly, "Am I operating from the need to be right"? Is my argument serving a dualistic purpose? Then you are following Christ. Bless Richard for making us seek truth.

This is maybe one of Richard's best presentations. The video quality is poor, but don't turn it off. It's very worth a full listen.

A friend introduced me to Father Rohr’s teachings several years back- beginning with a friend sharing with me the CD Set “Breathing Under Water.” Since then I have certainly been influenced by his teachings and I have grown spiritually from his knowledge and wisdom for which I will be eternally grateful. I am glad Father Rohr did not make any political comments or share his political viewpoints on this CD set. Even though I share many of his viewpoints, I find political statements to be distracting and controversial… mostly especially now. Quoting AA’s Tradition 10: When “Bill W and the Old Timers” wrote the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions they wisely included in Tradition 10 “AA Groups have NO Opinion on outside issues; hence our name ought never to be brought into public controversy.” Wise Words Indeed.

I love to read and listen to Richard Rohr. He closes that Catholic-Protestant difference, and strives to make us all understand who we are and our relationship to God.
