Sprezzatura - Clarinet Solo - Score Video
Sprezzatura was composed in the fall of 2021. The title refers to a word described in Baldassare Castiglione's, The Book of the Courtier, written in 1528. It translates to, “studied carelessness”, and was used to describe how courtiers were expected to behave when attending court. Essentially, it is a kind of act in which a person makes themselves appear as though they are fully comfortable in any role they inhabit. It allows the courtier to hide their true intentions, thoughts, and emotions, and give off an aura of confidence.
Representing this idea in the music, there are two melodies in the work, both of which imply each other, but only one that is ever played and heard by the audience (representing the façade of Sprezzatura). The opening is slow, cool, reserved, and calculating; giving way to a more bombastic character. The interaction between introversion and extraversion builds to a revelation of the hidden melody.
The performer in this video is:
Katie Smith - Clarinet

Out of the ash - Cello Solo - Score Video

Commissioned by Katherine Wynn, Out of the ash was written in the summer of 2022. It is inspired by the poem, “Lady Lazarus” by Sylvia Plath. The work mainly focuses around the ideas presented in the final stanza of the poem. I found the allusion to a phoenix at the end to be powerful, and decided to explore this idea musically. Opening with a dreary scene of falling ash, a character emerges sl...

mans out here looking for recognition for something nutty. bro you are a good musian/foley artist i dont know what, but dont try and make no country for old men any more tense, you cant and you failed.
No recognition needed! This was my attempt at exploring a scene that had no soundtrack to start. Makes it easier to score when you don't need to remove an existing soundtrack! I appreciate you listening and sharing your thoughts, even if you didn't enjoy it. Thank you!
sounds like shit
An interesting project. But don't ever do it again asshole. The music is 'synchronized' but generic. It's not bad enough that the music is annoyingly out of place, but it even takes away from how much the sound design carries this scene. You can barely hear the unanswered phone downstairs. The random creaks outside the door may be the house settling, or a crazed gunman. Each time Llewellyn moves and makes noise its stressful, like trying to move through your house at night without waking people up. The volume is way too loud and distracting, especially at the end peak. Honestly, of all the scenes in this movie, I struggle to think of one that could possibly have suffered more from adding music. If I didn't know any better I would think you made something so atrocious specifically to make people annoyed. But who would do such a thing? On purpose?
😊 perfecto 💯
Thank you for listening! 😊
One thing that confuses me, was it only the tracker stack that was ones, or was every layer of money under the tracker stack ones?
Never noticed that! Great catch! It looks like the other stacks are hundreds. I’m not sure, maybe someone else knows!
@@seanlorenzopenzo I’m wondering if the ones make up the vast majority of the money, and it’s only made to appear that it’s actually millions of dollars. On this theory, it would explain the gun fight at the beginning of the film. However, Anton and his camp obviously aren’t aware of the money mostly being ones otherwise why track it down? So there has to be a 3rd party they got the money from. Insert the US Government And the tracker is also theirs. Then you have a couple dirty agents pocketing the money, hopping no one notices.
@@jonmaster5000 that's a really interesting theory! All of this trouble over much less money makes it all the more dark.
It all stands of falls with the money below the tracker, but I think it would be great if none of them knew they were fighting and dying for an illusion. Now some may say, Moss must have counted it to know if there was “$2 million dollars.” However, we never see that, and he would have most likely found the tracker if he did. That’s what keeps it plausible in my mind.
Adding music ruined this!
That’s fair! Thank you for listening and sharing your thoughts.
I remember something like this happened to me when I was a kid out in the paster. Bunch of naked guys laying around that looked dead with a big black bag. Turns out that it was some city folk cult that got drunk and fucked a calf to death and passed out. Assholes.
I found my self in this situation once ,i thought id wait for the guy to turn up,i still have the $ 50 i found
Wow! Glad it turned out a little better for you 😂
This is amazing!

I don't know! You'll have to ask him. Either way, thanks for listening! : )

Ed Tom Bell may be a symbol for the antebellum south, it is unclear because of the lack of time stamps to determine the precise chronological progression of events and also, impossible to determine if Anton is successful in his multiple attempts to murder other characters because of a lack of follow ups. One constant theme is neutrality and it really collaborates with the motif that all of man, despite all his modern comfort and glory is still a slave to money, irregardless of class, caste, creed or anything else. Whether events in the movie are simply recollections of a long life lived or current, extremely pertinent to the plot progression are not verified and this adds to the mysterious nature and subjectivity of the interpretation of the film 🎻fin
Anton is an allusion to slavery in the Americas, the reason alot of the scenes of money are only of the hands is a brilliant way to convey a degree of anonymity as it is used to facilitate vices and perpetuate slavery, whether that be through the metaphorical chains of the drug trade or an unquenchable thirst for more money and more power [H2O] 👓
Interesting perspective on this! I never thought about it that way!

Stunning, you should be making music for movies
Thank you so much! 😊 I’d love to do that!

So much worse with the music. Delete this so I don't have to see it again!
Hahaha, I would, but this might be the best performing video on my channel... Thank you for bearing through it at least once! : )
Aarrrggghhh! When you commented on my comment it showed up again! Make it stop! Kidding a bit@@seanlorenzopenzo ... good effort, but I think the movie is a masterpiece as it is. No edits needed.
It was scarier without the music 🎵, but the music is ok. It seems the music takes away the “boo moment”?
That's fair! It might be more immersive and intense without the music, which pulls the audience into the moment better.
you failed
Fair! Thank you for listening! : )
Cowboys just love classical.
cheap bastards. When they cut hole in money pack to hide the tracker , they cut it in 1-dollar bills, when all other packs were 100 dollar bills. But careful man would get rid of suitcase even before he got home in the day he found it and would check money packs one by one way before Moss did it. It was in 1980, but radio trackers and receivers already existed, even though their range was limited and accuracy not so good as with modern GPS trackers. Do they slip mail envelops under the door in US if there is no mailbox outside ? Mailmen never do it in Europe , there has to be mailbox .If there is no mailbox, mail is not delivered . What if there is not enough room under the door ? If Moss just left mail on floor in hurry with phone bills, it was major mistake. If it was delivered after he left, of course he could not do anything about it You could argue that Chiburn was just lucky to spot the money tracker signal on highway when Moss had dozens of other opportunities to go to other motels / hotels away from highway or drive to different direction altogether. And Moss had to find that tracker way earlier. But since it is Coen movie, there is no typical Hollywood happy ending here. Most of characters you root for are killed, and sheriff who survived is not too happy about his retirement .
NO MUSIC IS BETTER.
A valid take! Thanks for listening regardless! : )
This one makes my heart stop, restart, and then spazzum out in amazement ❤. Fantastic work.
Aww thanks so much! Thank you for listening! : )
