TOP 12 SURVIVAL SKILLS EVERY MAN SHOULD KNOW
I have the J Adams MoD and for the price, It's the best knife I have ever owned. It takes a little while to master it once you put a very sharp edge on it because this thing wants to destroy any piece of wood you throw at it. That said, it takes a little while to be able to master precision work with this knife, but with a little patience & practice, you can officially do anything with this knife. The American philosophy with knives is this; a large chopper (or Ax or Saw), a medium sized fixed blade, and a smaller fixed blade for fine tasks. Man, forget all that, especially with the prices of many American knives! I use my MoD over any of my other knives and if I was given a choice to survive out in the woods with one knife, this would be it. You cannot break this thing so why am I going to take a $300 Tops knife if it's not up to the task I'm about to throw at it, especially in a life or death situation?!?
I have the Joseph Rodgers MOD and it has served me well out in the bush i have even used my MOD to crack open a coconut. Great video mate

I've modded mine work horse indeed ,beat the snot out of mine still going strong
@@leemichel8199 what did you do to mod it ?
@theurbansurvivalist1141 I cut off the guard at the top, convexed the edge at the belly ,put a scandi nearest handle, and reshaped the handle added a lanyard.and oiled it .
That's awesome. Great music too...

Great video. Have you looked at the instant pot pro, with canning function? I use it for pressure canning soups from my homegrown produce. It's also good for shelf stable stews etc so it's nice to have ready meals on the shelf that aren't tins.
@@KirstyHart-nq4wk no I haven't but would like to IL definitely have a look if you have a link 🙏
I have two of these, one at the allotment and one at home. The only issue I have found is the gas struggling on colder days. I have just bought the heater attachment for it too but haven't tried it yet.
@@KirstyHart-nq4wk yes that's true with the cold I use 1 up allotment too 👌
Mmm my favourite ❤
Great job❤
Thank you 🙏
All from your own garden? That is looking good.
@@thijskuiper8404 yes absolutely thank you 🙏
These Hardline knives are a joke. Apparently in the promotional ads Milwaukee uses 6 year olds to handle the knives in their closeup shots. I got the tanto version which typically sells used on eBay for between $70.00 and $100.00. I opened the package and this tiny, little knife fell out in my hand. I got to looking at it and it is no better than any of those Chinese made Dewalt, Craftsman or Kobalt folding utility pocket knives. All you are paying for is the name on the side. They show people cutting insulation, plastic pipe, stripping thick electric wires, carving thru this and that when in reality they aren't really big enough to fill your hand when using them. Absolute pieces of SHIT these things are and I am glad I only paid $30.00 for a used one. Kobalt makes a very similar style blade with this D2 steel and a handle that is big enough to fill your hand nicely and it only sells for $30.00 new at BLOWES. Save your money and buy two or three Kobalts with the bleu and black steel handle scales. You'll be glad you did....
That's interesting to hear I have had this years and used and abused the shit out of it and it's still going strong 🤔 but good to hear conflicting reviews 👌
@@theurbansurvivalist1141 Just my first impressions of it. I was really disappointed in the size of it. I guess I shouldn't have assumed these things were at least 7 1/2 or 8 inches long like any other knife designed for utility purposes. Maybe it will grow on me but I will never be satisfied with the small size of it......Glad yours fits your needs well.......
No mate. Safety error. First job is lanyard and explanation for lanyard.
You'll get no sympathy from me. As I understand it, you want to learn things like making candles and weaving baskets for when life changes might occur 😂 Get well soon. A lesson learned, as you say. 🎉

Unplug your wallplug , residual current built up in the motor , can cause the blade to start for a second , even if you have " grounded " the unplugged pins on the wall plug .

Nice one Dave. Going to give this a go.
Yeah they may not turn out as big as shop ones but still works
Very nice mate
Thanks mate
I have on of these, its cheap as chips which is good, mine did not come with a sheath or file. The handle was shaper than the blade, which looked like it had been sharpened by a bloke in Indonesia, where they are made, banging it between two rocks. The steel is 1045 and the heat treatment seems rubbish. BUT with a bit of time and patience you can smooth out the handle, reprofile the blade and get a good edge on it, I do like the shape, in the end I got some 4mm A2 steel, traced the shape on that, made it full tang, put on a G10 handle, gave it a heat treatment, cryogenic overnight then triple temper and the result is stunning, made a leather sheath and the result is really good!
