I took a trip by myself to go hike Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend, explore Terlingua, and decompress after a very busy holiday season.

Family Vlog Abilene and RV
Переглядів 17121 день тому
Slow family vlog showing my kids and I on a short road trip to pick up our RV from the last place we lived. Abilene State park is oddly great even though it is a small park. My kids are ridiculous and camping in just the van is getting really tight....Van was a mess all day the next day :(
Fredericksburg Family Weekend Camp Out
Переглядів 262 місяці тому
A low key trip to Fredericksburg on a slower weekend. We prefer this to attending Oktoberfest like we did in 2023. It is still a bit busy in some of the most popular places. We summit Enchanted Rock, eat at a Fredericksburg institution called The German Bakery, and shop at our favorite candy stores in the entire world.

Palmetto SP Solo Night and Trail Run

Camping overnight in the shade trees at Palmetto State Park. Momma needed a little break and an adventure run. Training for a 10k in December. Some quiet, some easy food, some nature, is what I needed.
1 Night Meteor Chasing Campout at Colorado Bend SP
Переглядів 324 місяці тому
I heard about the Perseid Meteor shower and decided to try and chase some shooting stars with my girls. It's hot in Texas so we left after 5PM and headed somewhere relatively close with our new CLAM tent, a deck of cards, and a movie in reserve. The meteors weren't exactly popping but we saw lightning bugs and had a good time none-the-less.
Austin Birth and Mothers Day Family Vlog and Campout
Переглядів 487 місяців тому
We went to some of our favorite places in Austin this weekend to celebrate some dudes 37th birthday. For mothers day I got some bomb breakfast and personal space for an evening. I was also able to hit 4 different state parks on the way home from Austin. McKinney Falls (hike), Pedernales Falls (unable to accommodate me for camping), Blanco, and Enchanted Rock.
Boerne and Fredericksburg, Spring Break 2024 Camping
Переглядів 6310 місяців тому
Freezing on Saturday but sunny and 70 on Tuesday? We'll skip the mountains then and head to Boerne Texas. I've driven through a few times and it has a lovely little charm. We stayed at Cascade Caverns and enjoyed some local cuisine. Love to get my kiddos outside and excited about new experiences.
Family Vlog l 2023 Summer River Float and Trip to Schlitterbahn
Переглядів 8210 місяців тому
Very nice trip to celebrate Avery turning 6. We stopped in Fredereicksburg to eat. We float the Comal as a family and we try our hand at some water hijinks at Schlitterbahn water park. Excellent family vacation in the heart of Texas.

Couples Vlog l California Part 1 Palm Springs
Переглядів 50Рік тому
Palms Springs, Joshua Tree, street fairs, beer and perfect weather. I, as a Texan, was offended by how much I LOVED California. The climate, the environment, the outdoor recreating opportunities, THE FOOD! Da3n those taxes and gas prices though...disrespectful, as my husband would say. Here is a look at some of our shenanigans while child free in a brand new place.
Family Camp Oktoberfest Fredericksburg Texas
Переглядів 46Рік тому
A weekend in one of my favorite cities! As a last minute trip we all camped in the cargo trailer. Not one of Daddy's favorite things but 122 is way better than 947 for 2 nights stay. Can't complain too much because we all had a pretty good dang time. Oktoberfest was fun but I think we'll skip the crowds and go on a normal weekend next time.
Camping Mistakes l Replacing the Plug on my AC
Переглядів 47Рік тому
I used an inadequate extension cord to get my portable A/C plugged into an outlet at a state park. In this video, we find out if replacing the MELTED plug of the A/C unit and using an appropriate extension cord fixes a 600 dollar mistake.
Possum Kingdom Night Out
Переглядів 48Рік тому
Went to another "new to me" state park. I really enjoyed this park but I had a little hiccup in the middle of my stay. I swam, kayaked, watched movies and got a little bit of rest considering the circumstances. Gonna keep getting out there even if I mess it up sometimes.

New-ish camping cargo trailer, minimal set up
Where were you parked at on your second morning, cost?
That was 25 dollars at Study-Butte Campground. Closest camping to the park but I think next time I might try Paisano or whatever RV park is behind the big bend motor inn...but I like Study-Butte. It is pretty quite and you can walk to Cottonwood, the little grocery store there in town.
@xchick10 thx, it's odd your video popped up on my utube feed as I'm on my way to Big Bend, currently in Comstock TX area. Living the vanliife😎
@MileOne... that's awesome! Apparently I missed the snow on the 9th. Have a blast!
Why I prefer the Coleman instant tent over the Ozark Trail is because the Coleman doesn't have a mesh roof, and you can put a portable air conditioner in it, but you can't do that with the Ozark Trail because it has a mesh roof.
Be careful. Never had an ugly or tense encounter with a wild animal. Humans, not so much. Be safe. Homeless people live in the woods in Texas.
Lockhart is one of our favorite parks. We like to play golf there so we camp in the fairway view loop and you can practice golf after hours ;)
You musta had a State Park annual pass. That would surely help you and them in skipping all the questions.
That looks like a good relaxing trip. The video volume was very low though.
Heck ill gladly be the one to say it first but you are gorgeous hope you had fun n relaxed
You did a great job!!
I love Ozark Trail especially the 10 person led lighted one.👍🏾💸
Ozark trail zippers always break.
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing
Looks really good. Any particular kind of sausage?
I enjoyed your video thank you
Glad the ac didn't get fried, or worse. That kind if issue can turn ugly real fast. Similar thing happened to me once several years ago but the result was more severe than yours.
Good job! Nicely done. Always feel good to be able to do your own repairs. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We had a similar issue with our trailer. A loose tooth on the plug caused a short and the plug melted. Had to buy a new power cord and a surge protector. Costs nearly $200 to get it back to useable. Sometimes the frustration is HIGH! But it’s always good to be camping! Those jumping fish look like bass hitting a school of minnows btw. That’s prime time to drop a lure or bait right in the middle of that ruckus. We live in Texas too but have yet to visit Possum Kingdom. We like to camp around Canyon lake. I was just on an EBike ride down River Road this past Sunday. Have you stayed at the KL campground? That looked promising.
Ordered new plug head...guess we'll see. Fish jumping =good. Also I have been several places on River Road. I love it down there. Can't beat it for camping Texas in the summer months. Thanks for the support!
Nice review. Looks easy enough to set up & take down with one person. Thx's for taken the time to do this video. Happy Camping!!!!
$89???? Heck I just paid $161 for it at Walmart now I feel like I was swindled 😢😢😢
Great video thanks for sharing
Nice trip. Arkansas is beautiful. I have some close friends outside of Russellville I visit every few years. It's always a great trip.
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) There is Gov't Canyon Natural State Area at Northwest of San Antonio, Texas. "Good Place" but The Garner State Park is #1. No questions asked. Camping is Camping. 🏕️ You will know. Okay! Thanks for your time. Have a good year in 2023! 🎉 Respectfully, Jens C. Williamson, III 😎😷👍🇺🇲 Bexar County 🇨🇱 Retired ID Hearing Impaired The Disability Can't forget to bring First Aid with you. Bring the whistle in your tent. It can scare the coyotes or hogs off by noises. It works! Be Smart!
Sounds like the next few months will be busy for you. Personally i always hate it when real life cuts into my free time. I hope you're able to squeeze in an adventure or 2 anyway. Stay safe.
Funny I was thinking just yesterday that I hadn't seen you lately and this video popped up today. I've managed a few weekend camping/fishing trips so far this year. It was good to get out there again. Looking forward to your next adventure. Safe travels!
It has been awhile since I've been to San Angelo State Park. Looks like a very windy day. Thank you for sharing.
crazy how old this is buh imma be a freshman in the fall
Hahaha...yeah. guess it is pretty dang old now. Good luck!
Why is the father on the phone 100% of this trip…. I’ll be dammed if my fiancé was on his phone constantly and not enjoying the trip…
He do what he gotta do. I'm just glad he joined us for this one. Cheers!
I had to sub!! Thx for the informative video!
Great footage and what a pretty family you have! I plan on hitting up GISP this coming weekend! Tent camping is uh callin’
you need to learn how to handle a camera for your videos.
Awesome demonstration and review. Really appreciate the time you took!
that phone cord is not safe by child could wrap around neck please remove cord!
My husband and I are Certified Survivalist a trick me and him learned that you can spray waterproof spray inside amd out for that size about 4 cans would hold up for a year or two even for living in it we have the ten person version of this tent amd we own a couple more tents by this company they are great for the price range but waterproof it inside and out even the walls and yours should be good for a long time we don't even get the dew inside ours with that trick od suggest doing that you will be surprised at the results
I just love this part of the state. Can't wait to get back out there. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome videos as always!
I love that area and get out there every couple of years. Looked like a great trip. Always nice to see you all having a good time together. It'll be Spring before you know it. Safe travels!
Salut!This, Bravo~ cool -have a nice day~ 👐
I loved this video! So much fun!!!
Loved your vid. Nice fam.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
The fridge is a great addition! Looks like you had near perfect weather. I'm sure it felt great to be out again. I love this time of year in Texas.
It was about as perfect as it gets. Texas is pretty awesome! I do like the fridge too for sure.
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?
I can't fully remember now I think I bought it for 15000 and sold it for 13000. That was in 2015 and 2017.
Would you still recommend this tent after 2 years? I'm thinking about getting the 4 person version because its half the price of a similar looking Coleman instant tent and the Coleman even makes you buy the rainfly separately
Tips on putting it back in the bag? i can't get mines to fit in it
i usually have to fold it up then kneel on it while I roll it. I then tie it with some rope in at lease two places. I also unzip the bag in the field. At home when I take it out to dry I can do the same thing and zip the bag back up completely.
Thanks for the video. You still liking the DD X-Mid? Just pre ordered mine today and will arrive in Febraury for next Spring adventures around New England. Anyway you could send me the measurements of the DD in the sack? LxW
Good review
Hate back to School🤪🍕best🍕🍽
👍 from across the pond 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ✊ 🏕
Looked like a fun trip. Those kids always have a good time with you.
Been there too! Great place. Love it :)
