One I never named the area. Also 100s of people know this spot. There are multiple fb page groups on this very bridge alone with thousands of people in them. I don’t think a few videos made by one person matter…. Js

@@FishfinaticsfishingI do not have nor use any social media such as facebook, Instagram or any other stuff like that. I don’t know what’s on it but if it’s like that then it’s helping ruin this small town and over populate along with rapidly destroying the local environment. I came across this video so I commented.

@@FrankieV772This whole county is fucked, fishing hasn’t been like what it used to be when I was a kid growing up there. That being said he is right there are a bunch of Facebook groups that have thousands of people in them for this “small town” so this spot is no surprise.

I agree this county is screwed. This spot is no secret but as many people broadcast and show case what was a small town it has grown tremendously. Point being that’s why we can’t keep 2 snook anymore and the slot has changed from 24”-36” to now 1. Also no more keeping jewfish. We used to pull 200-500lb jews up there everyday and feed our whole neighborhoods. We never posted it or bragged to outsiders to draw them here. Ijs that this doesn’t help keep our town quiet and people from coming so rapidly. Today it’s also illegal I’ve read to even land a jewfish to take the hook out and a picture; they must stay in the water.

I've met people from all over the state fishing at south bridge. Just like you probably fish spots all over. No top secret fishing holes are being exposed here. LOL

I appreciate you watching the video! And fishing in Florida is a blast. In this video it was a Goliath grouper one of the biggest species. The ones I caught were babies. they get 300+ lbs but are protected. So can’t keep them. But there’s charters all over Florida that can take you offshore to catch grouper you can eat.

"Slot" may refer to a fish within the size limits one can keep.

It’s what they call fish in between a certain size. Usually referred mostly to redfish and snook!
