1. How to host an event at Fort Carson: first, you want to get your event guide prepared. You don’t have to use it, but it’s recommended. It’s nice to copy and paste 2. Next, you claim a podium. To do this, simply walk up to a podium and click “E” to claim the podium. Afterwards, you’ll use your iPad to set up the event. From there, you should watch 7x5rk’s video on how to work the iPad. It’s easier to learn visually than having me explain it to you. 3. Stand at the center of the podium in proper uniform 4. Send the discord event message and wait for attendees to show up 5. Wait a few minutes for attendees to show up then lock the event. Make sure to edit the old message and change from “Open” to “Locked” 6. Introduce yourself, your supervisor (If you have one) and your staff (if you have any) 7. Activate either T-Phase or S-Phase 8. March them to the obbies, combat pit, classroom, or wherever your event requires you to go. Obbies 1. When you first arrive at the obby, you tell them to STS. Then, you welcome your attendees to the obby. 2. Afterwards, you should explain the rules, give them a time limit in which they must complete the obby (usually stated on the event guide), and send them off with a shot of your gun or say, “Go!” 3. To identify cheaters, I recommend you use the clipboard. You can use it from afar and then you can keep track of all the cheaters. This is beneficial as you don’t have to approach them and remember their name. 4. In some cases, you’ll have to share the Obby with other trainers. If this is the case, simply walk up to them and ask to share the obby. They’ll usually say yes. Classroom 1. When you first arrive in the classroom, instruct your attendees to sit and lock the doors (if possible). If you want everyone to sit in the front, tell them that. 2. Welcome your attendees to the classroom and briefly explain what you’ll be covering in the classroom. For example: USAF rules, Divisional information such as ranks, divisions, etc. 3. The rest is just copy and paste from your guide. Answer questions if there are any or you can decide not to. Concluding 1. dismiss your attendees 2. Log the event in #community-event-tallies or whatever channel you’re supposed to log events in. 3. Edit the old message and change from “locked” to “concluded” 4. And you’re done Throughout 1. How to deal with annoying people You could try to be civil about it, ask them politely to stop and give them warnings. If they refuse to listen to your warnings then you’re going to want to dismiss them or remove them from the event. If they can’t behave, then they shouldn’t finish the event. 2. How to deal with shooters Don’t need to, you got passive because of the tablet and the podium event system. You can literally walk through the middle of a firefight and emerge without a scratch at the other end. 3. How to deal with people trying to sneak in Well you could tell them to stop, you could try to run away from them, or you could an MP to chase them off. If they come back, then the MP can probably arrest them for interfering with your event. 4. Timeline, how to stay on schedule and not take hours to do a 15 minute event Activate T-Phase, deny people’s permission to speak, dismiss annoying people who don’t listen and delay the event, have a guide prepared so you aren’t stuck as to what to do next or stumbling on your words.
