Переглядів 4983 роки тому
I put together a quick video to show y’all my new tire and wheel setup and how easy it is to install tires on beadlock wheels. I found out Tusk makes a quality wheel and the Superatv Warrior tires pull great in the Tennessee mountain terrain. Thanks for watching! Be sure to checkout the next video where we put these tires and wheels to the test.

The talon is awesome. nice tunes too
Do you know what your top speed is with the 30% portals and 35’s? And do they actually measure 35”? Thanks! Thinking about going portals and 35’s also
Hillbilly trails in pike county Kentucky is a lot better that hatifield McCoy
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Rear Windshield for your Kawasaki Teryx 4 800
Are those 20 inch wheels?
Yes.
What does 4 seater cheater mean?
The longer wheel base of most 4 seaters allows Them to climb easily where the shorter wheel base two seaters struggle.
Were you get the tires?
That was pretty cool! A lot of folks talk down on the KRX but for trails and technical riding, they do very well!
Is worth putting portals on a talon? Any gear reduction with 35s?
It makes a big difference. 30% reduction
Talon looks clean are you on portals or just but the forward a arms on for the offset? Also did you do any gear reduction?
What trail was this on? We are going there today for first time and looking for technical trails to check out.
Mammoth hill. Sorry for the delayed response
@BackyardOffroad1 is the one that has the parts on the trees at the bottom with a flate opening at the top. Think trail 22 maybe or something
Yes. It is the left side trail. There are bypasses to the right that are tough too.
Here’s a more recent video, where I took a different ATV up it. ua-cam.com/users/shortsfiJLZ4b0sDw?si=sLPmT8A9LRvPal5I
@BackyardOffroad1 okay yea we found it. One went up the left side, and one of us took the by pass on the right, which was rutted out. Haha, one did the first part of the left, then crossed over to the right, then back to left. Feel free to check out the video. It was cool to see... and do.
Was this video from busco beach?
Yes it was. Sorry for the delayed response
Do you need a fuse box for all the accessories, I know Honda has a harness for accessories and I tapped into it the other day and everything went out on my last ride out in Tennessee. Everything works fine other than the accessories installed, do you know if there is a fuse or something protecting that harness?
Used the harness for small draw items like rock lights, interior and blinkers. I pulled straight from the winch wiring with inline fuses for bigger amp draw items like exterior lights and stereo. There is a fuse for the harness
@@BackyardOffroad1 awesome thank you!
Thank you for this video, that’s probably the coolest looking talon on UA-cam.
Thanks!!
WHAT ARE THOSE SEAT BELTS?
Bad things happen when you put your arms out side of the cage
What tires are those
Frontline ACP 35”
Thanks for the awesome video. Definitely 👍 from me. I just changed my belt and this video made the process easy.
Thanks bro! Glad it helped
Great video 😃
What size tires are on the talon
32’s in this video. I upgraded to 35’s since
@@BackyardOffroad1 is it true what you hear about these talons bogging down with 32s
Nice machine, I’ve got the 2 seater and it was rough. I’ve done Shock Therapy and it’s night and day different.
Thanks! I was thinking about using shock therapy but the ride is not bad with the portals.
Good video and info
Where did you go!! Lol I see your back on YT now..missed u buddy
Haha. I took a break to focus on some other stuff. I’m glad to be back. I’m working on some footage for another video. Hope to have it out soon.
I also have a 1000x4 dig your set up how many miles you been running it with portals?
Thanks, I have around 500 mile on them. I’ve haven’t had any issues yet.
Don’t know if you noticed but all except 3 videos on your channel have been set to private.
So, who is using the Marlon SXS truck rack and pulling a camper? That is a set-up we are considering. Okay, I'm considering...the wife, not a big fan. Questions! How do you like it, towing, loading, unloading? Thank you please.
That was some nice folks from another group. I did get to know them. I thought it was a awesome setup. He said it was toy hauler that pulled like crap when it was loaded. That’s why he put the rack on his truck. I know two folks that say bumper pull toy haulers are not the way to go. We have a 24 foot enclosed trailer with fold up bunks that does the trick.
Can you do a video on your trailer setup and dimensions of it and the talon
Yeah I can do that!
Good to see the kids come along that's what it's all about ha good video
We love having the kids there, they make it a lot more fun. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Sorry to bother u what size trailer do u have for your Honda talon
I run a 24 x8 foot enclosed trailer, but you could get by with a 12 x 6 foot open trailer for a stock talon.
@@BackyardOffroad1 thank you I just bought a Honda talon 4 seater I didn’t know what size trailer would work I’m going to purchase a 12/6 thank u
Awesome trails! As a Talon owner, would you say the first accessory was to add larger tires ( 32”)? I’m currently looking at the Rzr or the Talon for the family.
Thanks! Yeah definitely 32’s
My krx seems to use more fuel than the RZR anyone else notice this ?
Yeah. We normally fill up at the same time when we’re riding and the KRX seems to burn more.
that hill at the start of the vid, bottom of widow maker towards creek is a real mother when its raining! we all lost center caps and had to pull cable!
It was a rough section! We managed to bounce our way up without winching.
👍🏽👍🏽
I’m on the market and am strongly considering the Talon 1000X-4 for the family. Also to note, the Talon looks so much better with 32” tires. How is this unit in your opinion? Thanks
Jason, in my opinion it’s the best all around 4 seater. Again, I ride with many 2 and 4 seaters and I still stand by that statement. I say that because of how easy it is to drive, the driver and passenger comfort, the low maintenance (DCT) and shorter length… not to mention it’s good looks. The price point was lower than the Can am and Polaris too. I agree that 32” tires are a must. It didn’t take long for me to order some. The extra ground clearance from the bigger tires helped tremendously.
@@BackyardOffroad1 appreciate the feedback. 98% of all Talon owners don’t regret their decision and are trying to persuade their friends to owning the unit.
Man talk about a pucker factor by that stream washout 😬
Haha 😂 just a little
Nice machine. I had a 2 door 1000X that I put about1800 miles on before selling it. It just didn't work for my kind riding which is 90% slower mountain trail riding. I spent a lot of money trying to overcome some of the flaws like the ridiculously stiff stock suspension, the overly touchy throttle, the poorly designed and located air intake, the terrible instrument display, and the constant shifting up and down when doing slower trail riding. I went back to a RZR XP 1000 Trails and Rocks edition and couldn't be happier. Only thing I miss about the Talon is the excellent hill decent control. The RZR sucks down steep loose terrain!
Thanks for the comment. I’ve never ridden in a 2 seater Talon. With the issues you describe, it appears the 4 seater rides better than the 2. I ride with a 2021 Rzr high lifter and he has an issue with ride quality… he’s even purchased and installed new tenders springs. I’ve enjoyed my X4 with live valve, I think it rides awesome. It rides even better since I added the portals. Again, thanks for the comment and watching!
I looked up your UA-cam page. I see you ride out west. I plan on making it out there one of these years! 👍
@@BackyardOffroad1 yeah, we did some videos back when we were driving the RZR 900 Trail! Had a lot of fun in that little machine! Sold that after I bought the Talon. You should find your way out west some day! Lots of great riding out here, no matter what kind of riding you like to do! I highly recommend Moab!
How did the Rzr perform on the 32’s? I can’t decide between the Talon or the Rzr Highlifter. Riding on Drummond Island here in Northern MI, I definitely need the ground clearance for the rock ledges and the mud
It did an amazing job. However, it rides rougher than the talon. He put different tinder springs and I think he still struggling with ride quality. Otherwise, I think he’s been very happy with the RZR.
@@BackyardOffroad1 appreciate the response. I do like the Talon. I just don’t see very many Talons, but I do see a lot of can ams, Rzrs and Yamaha yxz models
@@jasononeal3099 good luck with your search. All of them make good side by sides!
What wheel and tire set up on that talon? That’s sick!!
Thanks! I’m running Tusk 15” bead locks and superatv Warrior 35” tires. Here’s some more info:ua-cam.com/video/pKWsktlL1_U/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching and the comment!
I’m heading there I acouple weeks. I’m pretty excited!
I bet so! It’s an awesome place to ride!
Thanks for watching and the comment!
Time for the KRX boys to get some new tender springs!
A couple more inches of ground clearance and they would be unstoppable!
About to order some!
😂
Loved the video! What size tires are you running on the Talon?
In this video, 32” carnivores. I was pretty much stock. I’ve upgraded to 35” ACP for the wet and muddy terrain and 35” Warrior tires with bead locks for the mountains. Check out my other videos on the channel. Thanks for watching and the comment.
@@BackyardOffroad1 I’ll do that. I ride the trails on Drummond Island and I need the ground clearance w/o having to buy several different tires. Drummond has mud, clear trails and a lot of rocky terrain. The other issue I have, I can’t exceed 82” or the unit won’t fit in the garage.
Also, I’m in the market for a four seater and am going through the process of checking all the coxes with the different models I’m looking at
@@jasononeal3099 we have a good variety of different tires and tire sizes shown on the channel. I would say the 32” carnivores are a good all around tire. If you have a Talon you can put them on your stock rims with no suspension modifications. You will just need to spin the aggressively to get through the mud. I think another good all around tire is the System 3 - 370s. The ACP’s are considered an all terrain but are on the more aggressive side, however, they still ride good on the road and hard pack. I just got back from Royal Blue and saw a multitude of different trail conditions and the Warriors did awesome. Video coming soon.
@@jasononeal3099 we ridden with several different popular 4 seat models over the last year. Our last Busco video shows an Can am x3 vs my Talon in some sticky spots. We also rode with a Polaris rzr turbo 4 seater in another video (he flipped). I started with a Kawasaki Teryx… All my friends had on at one point in time. I like the Talon the most for several reasons, the Polaris is second and can am third. Price, length and belts are some negatives I see with Polaris and can am. However , the power in the turbo models is unreal.
Sik! Looks like fun.
Great set up 👍🏻 I think they need to redesign the gears/hubs to allows for problem free use. Cv axels have been around for yrrrrsss. How can they not have this down without any issues? I agree with your choice of wheels and rims- as the stocks look just under promising. A lot of things associated with Honda’s is the quality.. they’re easy to work on but the cheapness & design along materials are truly noticeable.
How many days riding would it take to hit most the trails?
We normally ride for 3 1/2 days per trip and don’t cover all the trails in the area if you include the outlaws. I would say 5 days would get it done.
@@BackyardOffroad1 ok thanks. I'm on the west coast and would love to make the trip out and hit this area! Appreciate the reply.
Guy in the yellow shirt - no seat belts. That will bite him sooner or later.
He’s got harnesses now.
Great times with even better people. Awesome footage and editing job!!!! The editing and photography at the end of the video is absolutely amazing!
Thanks for the Comment and all the awesome content you provide! 😂
That’s awesome. Fun stuff😂😂😂
Yes it was!
Awesome video! The Warrior system is my favorite. Does the portals on that Talon affect going higher speeds on the black top?
Thanks! No negative high speed affects after I did good 4 wheel alignment. Also, I’m able to to shift my suspension to sport on the road and it helps with body roll, so it’s very stable.
Your videos and quality are great. Really helpful that you talk through them too as to where you’re at.
It’s not a bike
Or is it? 😂
