    My understanding positive ground spins the starter better. On the 4010 and 4020 John Deere diesel tractors their positive ground was for a 24 volt starter.

    This works. My ancient snow blower impeller shaft had two rust-welded roll pins. I heated the whole area then fired some propellant (in this case, from a can of starter fluid) down the center of the pins. Magic. Thanks!

    After that pin comes out should that big pin just hammer right out ? Seems still being a bitch

    after a battle with the very same thing today I figured someone on YT would have a hot tip on how to remove a stuck roll pin. Now this one was STUCK! I beat on it until all my punches broke. My first thought was here we are in the year 2023. Equipment manufacturers still use the same tech (roll pins) that the Fn cavemen used back in the dawn of time. I gave in and decided to drill that bitch out. 14 Harbor Freight drill bits later I was nowhere closer to getting it out. My next bright idea was a round from my S&W 44 magnum. The lead is soft, it should conform and remove the pin. The pin holding the bucket on is hard steel. The roll pin is somewhat softer. The 44-round is made of lead. Very soft. This should work. Head Up, Guys! It didn't work. In fact that shit spattered like ice cream on a hot asphalt parking lot. Now my search continues for an effective Roll Pin Removal Tool. There has to be one out there somewhere. These caveman tactics ain't working.

    Great tip. I took mine to machine shop to get new pin and bearings. They were going to drill at $100.00 /hour. I'm semi retired. Figured could be 1-2hours per set. Tried drilling at a buddies place. NOT. 30 seconds provide that. I love realistic UA-cam. Like I am.

    Nice tip...I have a small SPRING roll pin on a table saw lift mechanism. The hand wheel fits over the roll pin to crank the lift mechanism but the bushing behind the pin won't sit back to allow the hand wheel to sit down on the pin. Getting the pin out to extract the bushing is a PITA. I would borrow that 5lb hammer if it would fit into the space! anyway thanks for the video. Hey, can I use Ultra Duster for DIY Cryotherapy!!!!

    Thats great, still trying to figure out how to do it on my stryker. when i tyr it just puches the bike forward and skids the front tire. LOL.

    • @diggman4123
      @diggman4123 9 років тому

      when it does that let go of the front brake and grab it real quick again. shifts the weight to the front. nothing better than dumping the clutch at full noise on my stryker and it power skidding; ) @
