Oddly enough, Americans legalize and justify the use of weapons anywhere, even for ordinary workers. So it's not surprising that even random shooting cases will be called self-defense motives.

The gaslighting is palpable You can still get divorced, if you don’t want to be married anymore for whatever reason, that just means you are at fault and the man shouldn’t have to give you money because it’s your fault If there’s abuse or infidelity on his part Guess what!!?!? that means he’s at fault and you’ll get money No fault just protects men from women who get bored and want to steal his children from him

Similarly, getting a new phone with a 2-year contract is even easier than getting married. But you can't promise to pay the 2-year bill, then just stop paying it because "you're not happy with it". Why could you promise to try to make a marriage work, have children, and just walk out without having to even give a reason? Why are commercial contracts over trivial items more important to keep your word? Are families with children not worth a bit more protection? Why should we not be able to expect a person to keep the promises with which they entered a marriage?

I got one for you. I married in '93 everything went very normal for the most part. But labor day weekend of '99, out of nowhere my wife went nuts for no reason and just decided she didn't want me anymore. But the very weekend before, we were, sorry for my blatancy, screwing like newlyweds. So she left and I moved out of the area. Now technically we're still married. I'm not filing because I don't want to, but mostly because I still love her and it wasn't my idea to break up. The other reason is it's too damn expensive. To this day I'm still single because I don't have enough heart left to put myself through another relationship when it's sooo easy for the woman to mostly be the one that gives up. Not caring about being alone, but she's always on my mind.

My ex wife and i got a no-fault divorce here in california. We'd been together out of high school for 12 years and had a 2yr old at that point. I made a few mistakes, then she made a few mistakes and that was it for us. I lost my job a month after the breakup, she stayed in the house for 7 months and paid the bills until i got a job, caught up on my bills and could sustain myself, then she moved out. We stayed civil too, shared custody for 1 year until we just decided to sign the papers and get it over with. We went to the court, told them we were working out it ourselves, they sent us to a mediator, to whom we also said we don't need any of the courts help with custody or child support. We were ENCOURAGED to rethink letting the court help, but refused and were told that it was almost unheard of. That was 14 years ago. My daughter lived with her mom for 7yrs (from 3 to 10) now she's with me for 8 years (10 to 18) She turns 18 next month. We shared any medical costs, cell phone cost...but that was it. I didn't pay her any money when she lived with her mom 80% of the time and i didn't ask for money when she now lives with me 80% of the time. People are immature and jut can't be civil for the child. They always want to "stick it to the other parent" somehow and custody and money are the ways to do that. Her mother and i buried the hatched a few years after we split. We talk as friends now. Even took our daughter to a theme park, together, AS FRIENDS but also as co-parents. We talked about the past and had a bunch of laughs. Had a great day and went home to our respective partners. I have NEVER talked ill of her mother in front of her or TO her. As far as she tells me, her mother never has either and i believe her. STOP BEING PETTY!! People weren't meant to spend their ENTIRE LIVES TOGETHER. We grow apart. We change and mature. What we were when we got together, may not be who we are now and may not be compatible anymore. There is nothing wrong with that. Religion makes it wrong by saying it's a life long commitment and divorce is wrong! Well, i'm not religiou so idc what they say.

No fault divorces are good for lawyers, bad for families. These are equivalent to a gun loaded at the faces of good hardworking spouses, who's spouse is waiting for the right time to cash out and destroy and exploit the hardworking spouse. If no one will be held responsible for unilaterally choosing to destroy the marriage, then according to those rules, it is a terrible mistake to get married and open yourself up to divorce settlements that lead so many of the last good men in the West to suicide.

  • @robertsmith6188

This was why we had arranged marriages between family members in the olden times, usually 2nd or lower cousins. In that case, both are bound by loyalty to the family even before their spouses, so if they mess up, it blows back on the family and divides the family as a whole. When two completely unrelated people get married, theres none of this. This is why if you look at the Bible, for the most part the Patriarchs married relatives. In Judaism until 19th Century or so, marriages were usually conducted between cousins.

Maybe people should start considering the consequences of their actions, and now take a vow they don't actually mean to keep. Just a thought. Marriage has always been and will always continue to be a serious commitment, intended to be life-long. It's easy to get swept up in the moment, but before you say your "I do"s, actually sit down and ask yourself if this is the person you want to grow old with, and start a family with. If your answer is no, or you're unsure, fucking don't get married. Too many people these days get married without realizing the gravity of the commitment they're making. Now, I'm not gonna say which side of the aisle is more to blame, but statistics don't lie...

Until women cannot get alimony or custody rights if they file divorce, and are left pensiles and bankrupt, marriage is just giving evil women like this one a bunch of money for no good reason.

You are a short-sighted, dimwitted lawyer. State regulated marriages are a legally binding contract that essentially, once they are entered into, entitles women to half of the partner's assets. By letting divorce be "no-fault" a woman can legally steal half of ther partner's wealth regardless of how she behaved in that contract. You should ask for a refund for all of your legal schooling, because you didn't learn crap. What a dummy.

Exactly, my dad was married for about two years in his twenties in the 70s. When he died in 2016 he was still paying her, and she was getting a cut of his retirement. When he remarried in the 90s to my stepmother, she refused to work. and was stealing money from him to give to her crackhead kids to buy drugs. he divorced her but she still got half his house that he bought before the marriage. He ended up losing the house as a result because he could not afford the refinance due to her taking all his equity. This no fault crap seems to favor only one person. Thanks feminism.
