Why can't I just play a game without doing hours of literal fucking virtual chores for the smallest drop of anything worthwhile in the game that will hopefully bring me actual joy and fun, and by joy and fun I don't mean gambling all my life-savings away to those corporate fucks to feel a rush of dopamine for like 2 seconds after opening yet another lootbox or getting some underwhelming 'prize' for draining a week of my life into the game, by joy and fun I mean joy and fun that I get from playing the actual game because of the GAMEplay, but who am I kidding, they want you to work yourself to death instead of getting even the smallest hint of enjoyment.
Well that needs a time and budget, it needs a cooking time, if you wanted to make a movie because that fans wanted make sure it is worth it, and worth the wait and not some cash grab. cameo is a fun for now. but full movie is a gamble knowing that Disney allocate budget expensively.

Meanwhile, Helldivers nears implosion every day under the misguided weight of its own terrified dev team. I have never seen a development team so dedicated to destroying its own creation. Don't forget that the original _Doom_ was designed by just 5 guys.
Back then, games offered the means to get away from it all while making you feel like you accomplished something on your own. Nowadays games remind you of real world stuff and dangle that finish line key while constantly hand holding you on everything, ya know what I mean?
The reason why hell divers 2 is good is cause the ceo stepped down and had to patch the game himself after the studio were making the balancing more and more intrusive and annoying. Don't know after that though since i stopped paying attention to it
