    I don't recommend it. I just bought one today and already returned it and purchased a gas ⛽️ powered one instead. The battery lasts 20 minutes per charge and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to be fully charged.

      I understand. People that like electric lawnmowers usually have a lot of batteries and all the other tools such as the shop vac, blower, weed whip. If I had only one battery,, I would not use it.

    • @jamesa6080
      @jamesa6080 16 днів тому

      I find if you run it at the fastest speed and the grass is pretty tall it will drain a battery in 25 minutes or so but I started to just use the self propelled mode when needed and let momentum do the rest and I get double the use. Although now it dies if I use the self propelled mode at all so now it’s a push mower 😢

    Only one problem. The replacement blade you buy a Home Depot that says it is for a 40 volt 20 inch lawnmower is to long and does not fit under the mower. Son and I both bought one for our mowers and neither one of us could make it fit. Worked for a local school district for 35 tears doing grounds maintenance I have changed a blade or two. The damn thing does not fit it is to long. I returned it.

    • @OldHouseRenovation
      @OldHouseRenovation 2 місяці тому

      The older Ryobi electric line Morris used 20 inch and smaller blades. The newer lawnmowers are used 21+ blades. You may not be able to find the 20 inch on the shelf, but if you order it online and have it delivered to your home or store that that works out well at Home Depot. Thanks for sharing.

      That is true. However, we used spray foam insulation which offset removal of the lath and plaster. Here is the spray foam insulation video ua-cam.com/video/w6cQpYRrVt0/v-deo.html

      That's not even close to being true. Lath is not structural. If at all, you're talking .000001% difference.

      I really wish people would learn terminology, pronunciation and technique before posting how-to videos. Pronouncing it like the tool "lathe" destroys your credibility. Plus the demo shown in the video of just busting it all up and breaking it with a hammer is not how you most efficiently prep for drywall. The lath nails need to come with the board or you add another process to prep. Take the time to deconstruct... you'll be much better off.

      I found electric lawnmowers are pretty similar. The battery is the costly item. Wanna make sure that a good battery lasts a long time at all to keep buying new ones. Ryobi battery I only lost one in the last three years.

      @@OldHouseRenovation i hear you thou im from south africa also have a garden service along with a renovation company, the type of grass we get here sometimes we faced with some tougher weeds and floura, yeah that machine may be good for home use, but for consistent use i highly doubt itll do the job, the petrol Ryobi mowers dont last as its build quality may look aestheticly good the plastic wheels and other frequently used bits dont servive, likewise cordle ryobi power tools i gift to my wife instead, like the drill she uses in the kitchen🙈😂, i applaud Ryobi for making a tool for every application but as small business owner i would rather gift it to someone who works once in a while at home rather then be a frequent d.i.y guy

    Nice, the black wrought iron railing creates a nice contrast on the porch.

      Thanks. The wrought iron porch railings were custom made by O’Brien Ornamental. While it was a little more expensive, we think it will be lower maintenance.

    Nice but rail height looked more proportional on the old one.

      Thanks for commenting. Wisconsin building codes states “Guardrails must surround any deck that is more than 2 feet above ground. The guardrails must be at least three feet high.” We were pretty close to the 2 feet but since it is a duplex that may be rented, we wanted to be safe.
