I wish we heard this song still at the church I attend! It’s very underrated musically and it’s straight out of the inspired Scriptures so it should be kept going forever. It’s helpful to focus one’s mind on the blessed ASSURANCE and hope we have in Him. Although your denomination would differ on various points this song evokes fond memories to me of childhood visits to Open Brethren Gospel Halls in which I was profoundly impacted by hearing the Gospel shared with great imperative. Now I attend an independent evangelical church broadly baptistic in style. Again, different on various points from “Presbys“ but I think what counts above all else is to hold God’s Word in high esteem for what it is and to preach the Gospel from it and to see life transformation by the work of the Spirit in our walk with and for Him.

❤❤❤ I have been a Christian since birth in Malaysia. Church hymns are quite familiar to me. As a teenager I was asked to sing alto part in the church choir as there was a shortage. I did not enjoy it much as it was a bit difficult to learn being young & immature. I sang for a few months then left for overseas to study. The few alto part that I have learned especially " What a friend we have in Jesus" & a few of the Christmas hymns....until today (I am 68 now living in Australia) I enjoy singing the alto part when there is a church gathering or worshipping in church. I learned "Old Rugged Cross" in Alto from UA-cam only last week, as Easter is just round the corner, I searched for Easter hymns this morning & "To God Be The Glory" came up. I then searched for Alto part & I found you & absolutely love it. Thank you so much am so happy now I can learn Alto at home! I also must thank The Lord for His guidance. Amen
