2018 RDX with stop and go!
Переглядів 2056 років тому
Just installed pedal hardware and went for a stop and go drive.
Where did you wire the Roku power to?
AVOID THIS COMPANY. Absolutely beware of this company and DO NOT BUY. they are a complete scam. The chances of you getting a defective product is extremely high. They claim a lifetime warranty and easy returns. This is not true. You will get an item that isn’t what was advertised. With a completely different UI and missing features, constant bug issues that they will do nothing to resolve from the very first day. These are not made in America and it’s disgusting they use that as a marketing tool. Their customer service will run you in circles and you will receive no help and be left with a joke of a product. (Plastic with a “made in America” sticker) they do not care about you or America. They are here simply to exploit. After a mind numbing amount of attempts to get my issues resolved my last resort is to let the public know the truth about their lies.
Does this make the car stay center better than the factory version?
Yes. So much better you cannot compare Acura stock LKAS with OpenPilot.
@@RichInterdonato Awesome, so, just buy the unit and follow the instructions? Thanks!
What are your thoughts of openpilot for your RDX. It seems to be a bit disappointing from your videos. I might be wrong though. I have a 2016 RDX and was wondering if it was worth it. Also did you talk with the guys from discord to see if there was a way to hack the torque limiter a bit to get more turning capacity? Thanks
I LOVE OpenPilot on the RDX. What I am disappointed in is the steer torque and the fact that steering is not available down to 0. But Comma's software is SPECTACULAR and the pedal makes the car so much better.
I thought this car model was not capable of stop n go. Do you have a comma pedal installed?
Yes, comma pedal, and I use Kegman's build because it fixes the brake pulsing sound!
@@RichInterdonato Can I ask where you bought your comma pedal from? I also noticed that you were having trouble with limited steering torque in your other videos. Does the kegman fork improve the torque or is there no fix for it? Thanks.
@@solodolo4092 check out the comma discord channel. They have to be custom built.
What cable can you show
did it work coz I order the same for honda accord with navigation same system in your car but fail too ?
I did end up working. There unit I got had a problem. New one is fine!here is a pro tip. They don't tell you this, but make sure you wire it such that the navtool device is way in the back of the dash between the driver and passengers feet. Good luck.
I love it. OpenPilot v0.6.2 has been great and driving me around for over 10K miles.
Looking at getting this exact same car and setup could you please comment on how well and reliable the system has been so far? Would you trust this on long distance highway travels?
Could you make a video on how it is installed and what settings you are using? This is one of the many reasons I want to get a 2018 RDX
Can you make a longer video on this? Very interested in real world test using RDX. Thx
There are a bunch of my 2018 RDX drives posted here.
I’m having problems with mine too... did you get your issue resolved?
Yes, I returned it for a refund.
Yes, they provided a full refund. :) Thank you navtool.
Hey did you get your issue resolved?
What giraffe switch settings are you using? Trying to get this going on my rdx too!
Did u calibrate?
I think it works better on the highway
What a cool place, I hope to go back there someday.
On github it says "Can only be enabled above 25 mph" for the RDX. It will do a full stop and resume? thanks.
Rdx? What year?
2018
Hello can you tell me, what problem was? is hardware problem or software? can you text me some detail of this problem ua-cam.com/video/7sdri3xn6mk/v-deo.html
Perkolator TV I've been told that the Eon is more accurate than the speedometer dial in the Acura
so proplem was in your car ?
Perkolator TV I don't know. The values are only slightly off. It is not troubling;I am just trying to report any noteworthy information to comma.ai.
Hmmm seems like the Acura can’t make turns that well...
Dwayne La Rose i think that it does turn well, but we are tuning it to be even better.
Did it learn by itself ?
Tray xMonst3rPro The maxsteer setting is done in code. OpenPilot learns to drive better by itself.
how do the car turn left and right?
Ohmer Ion Miranda you have to manually turn the car, but the auto pilot stays on. It just corrects back to the lane wherever you are
Totally awesome, me need it
I am looking at installing openpilot on a 2018 Camry. How hard was it for you to get it to work on a car that’s not exactly compatible yet. What is your background. My brother inlaw has some coding background and is willing to help. I can’t see the Camry being all that different than a Prius of rav4. Any information would be helpful as I begin this journey.
I've been hit while riding my bike by a car making a left hand turn. Fortunately, I was not injured.
